Check Out America Hill’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to America Hill.

Hi America, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Oh boy, where do I start? My journey with pursuing a career in the entertainment industry as a working actress/ comedian / singer / model hasn’t been easy. I have a learning disability and ADHD in conjunction with not having a supportive and betraying family, however, I didn’t allow these obstacles to deter me from accomplishing my goals and dreams! This is my calling! My journey started in 2017. Although I don’t communicate with the majority of my family – I do have my friends and now amazing fiancé that’s also a comedian and is incredibly supportive of me.

I’m now 6 years in and I keep pushing forward! I’ve had the opportunity to go on tour to different cities and states to feature and headline! Gosh, I love it!

I’ve gained fans that love and support my material and that’s such a humbling feeling. I feel that no matter how big I make it in this industry I will never forget where I came from. I’ve worked with very prestigious and established names in the business like Paul Rodriguez, Chris porter, Jeremy Piven and many more! I am now a paid regular at the Hollywood improv with Monderays show on Mondays but I want to take it a step further and be a paid regular through out the week. You only live life once! Live it! If you’re going to be a bee? Be the queen be. You’re either give it your all or none at all. That’s my motto with everything in life!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nope! I’ve experienced being homeless for 1.5 years and also being in abusive relationships that wanted me to stop what I love and I had to walk away from those toxic relationships.

I recently had to deal with toxic family members that betrayed & gaslit me but I walked away from all that and I don’t condone their behavior to get in my way of my passion! Success is a lonely road and that’s ok with me. As long as I have my friends, fans, my fiance and god. I’m good!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a working comedian/ singer, actress, and model.

My goal is to ultimately be a full time working actress and comedian but that will take time.

My genre of comedy is very physical, goofy, absurd, very dark, and twisted jokes. I write and perform clean and dirty comedy. I talk about everything except politics. Name it, I talk about it. I write one liners, metaphors and stories. I write jokes that relatable to everyone!

In regard to acting. I currently have experience in drama, however, I want to expand my acting showreel to indie, vertical short forms and other types of genres like horror, science fiction and action. I don’t want to limit myself.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come and what I’ve accomplished so far. I work hard to be better than I was yesterday.

What sets me apart from others is I’m naturally a humanitarian, humble, respectful, I don’t gossip and speak poorly about others because I wouldn’t want it done to me. I treat people the way I want to be treated. I am not competitive. I focus on me and my journey.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I only remember that knew I always made people laugh until they cried. I also had more negative than positive memories as a child, so I can’t think of any, unfortunately.
