Check Out Adam Miller’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Miller.

Hi Adam, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi! Nice to meet you! My name is Adam!

I currently run a spiritual coaching business and a Youtube channel. My business goes by the name ‘Adam Miller Coaching’ and my YouTube channel is called ‘Adam Miller – The Edgy Saint.’

I help sensitive people, empaths, artists and creatives to heal on many levels; physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, as that has been my personal journey.

I am very excited because I am now moving more into merging this with music and comedy.

My goal is to help people heal, be inspired and entertained all at the same time via all these different avenues.

I think that the end result of healing is creativity, expression and inspiring others to become their best selves.

In my coaching programs, I use a combination of energy work, Somatic release therapy, action-based mindset coaching, and whatever else I feel called to depending upon the client’s needs.

Because of my long and arduous journey into and out of the dark, I am excellent at helping people get the really deep, sticky pieces in a very easy, gentle and fun way.

My primary focus is in helping people reclaim their voice, creativity and freedom in all capacities and areas of their lives.

A little bit about my journey…

Growing up it was my dream to be a musician. When I was 3 years old, I fell in love with the Beatles.

When I was 10, I started playing guitar and at 14, I began my ventures into theatre, starring in community productions in Woodland Hills like Pippin and Cabaret.

When I was 18, I wrote and recorded my first 3 song demo, and very quickly got some label interest!

One of the record companies wanted to see me play live with the intention to sign me if it all aligned. My childhood dream!

But the night I stood onstage in front of a bunch of my friends, the record executive, and the rest of the Roxy, all I could feel inside was shame. Disgust. I wasn’t enough. I was too weird, too different, etc.

I had so much trauma, depression, anxiety, shyness, chronic fatigue, I just couldn’t fully let myself shine.

Despite that, I was so deeply hoping to get signed, but the A & R guy said my voice just wasn’t ready. And, in truth, it wasn’t. I just didn’t have the physical, emotional or mental vitality to be much of anything at that point, let alone a performer.

The executive told me that he liked me, but I needed more work. “Keep playing and maybe in the future, I’ll come back and see you, and if you’re ready then, we can go from there.’

But I was already dabbling with drugs, and at this crossroads, because of all the pain, I descended much further into my addiction.

I became addicted to IV heroin and cocaine and spent 9 years in freefall.

Fortunately, when I was hanging on to life by a thread, and convinced it was too late for me, the Universe pretty much forced me into a long-term rehab. I was in it for about 22 months. And it was very difficult. But I made it!

The extreme sensitivity I had when I was a kid that largely led to feeling completely overwhelmed and out of place in this world, started to come back and my body was a mess.

I felt so much fear every day I could hardly function. And my nervous system was absolutely fried! A neurologist told me I had mild to moderate brain damage from the drug use.

I couldn’t put a sentence together without losing my place in my head. I believed I had completely ruined my life. And destroyed my chances at realizing my dreams in life.

But little by little, I just put one foot in front of the other and started to heal.

I spent many years studying the healing arts, primarily just to heal myself and fix my body.

I learned everything from meditation and yoga to very intricate Somatic Trauma Release therapy, to energy work, Shamanic soul chard retrieval, plant medicine, mindset and belief work and on and on. And this led me to wanting to offer these services to help others heal.

During Covid, I started offering sessions.

And 2 ½ years ago I enrolled myself in a Conscious Entrepreneurship program. That’s when I went full time as a spiritual coach.

But, as I mentioned, coaching isn’t all that I do. I love it, but in my heart of hearts I am an artist. Art is healing, and healing is art.

I did stand-up comedy for years and graduated from Clown School last year.

I want to make healing fun, creative, funny and entertaining. I want people to be able to laugh at themselves and life, not from a place of deflection but from a place of freedom and self-love. It doesn’t have to be this deeply heavy and serious thing all the time.

The music I have written and am preparing to record reflects my spiritual awakening and healing journey and hopefully can help other people to heal and grow themselves.

I have put some sketch comedy videos up on my Youtube channel and am working on a one-man spiritual comedy clown show.

So many artists are highly sensitive, and many nowadays are very empathic; they can feel people’s energy.

We live on Planet Earth in a very trying but exciting time, we all have lots of trauma and distractions. All of this can lead to difficulty in thriving, and particularly in playing, creating and having fun.

I want to help inspire people to know what else is possible both within themselves and the world, and help them put the pieces together/back together, cuz you can’t change the world, you really can’t. You can only change yourself, but when enough people change themselves, the world has no choice but to change.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a business is a lot of work. It’s very difficult to write, create, help others, take care of yourself, pay bills, deal with the fear, division and terror thrown at us all day long.

And for the first 12 years of my healing journey, it was brutal at times. I worked jobs I couldn’t stand just to pay the bills so I could pursue my art. But I didn’t have the energy or health to even pursue it. 🙂

I was the struggling artist who wasn’t even an artist except in his room.

So, I would strain with everything I had to make it through the workday, then come home and crash on the weekends recovering 10 percent of the energy I needed to just get back up and do it again. The whole time I just studied healing, and poured everything I had into working on myself, my health, my belief systems, etc. I kept putting my money into anything that would better my soul, my mind and my body.

A big part of why I do what I do is I know how unbelievably awful it can be when you can’t do what you want with your life and your time. All anyone really wants in the end is freedom. Love and freedom. We have different ideas of how that looks, but at the core, that’s what we want. To be who we want to be and do what we want to do with our time here.

It has been a tour de force to say the least, but I am proof, if you just keep going, things change!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am what I would call a healer/artist hybrid. I believe they are really one and the same in the end.

In my coaching/healing business, I help people to release deeply stored trauma from their nervous systems as well as their energy fields, minds and more.

You see, healing is a very intricate and multi-layered process. It’s way more than just talking stuff out.

Everything we experience stores itself in the nervous system, and not just our stuff either! Our parent’s ancestors, the collective, etc.

I help people to identify what it is they really want in their lives! We have to start with a vision! But many times we don’t necessarily know what that is. If you never were allowed to or encouraged to feel joy you might not know what it is, because your vision comes from the frequency you are in and the ability to feel the way you want to feel.

So, if people don’t know their vision i help them find it. If they do, then I help them clear the deep-seated blocks to pursuing it and achieving it.

This comes in the form of releasing stored trauma from the body, changing belief systems stored in the subconscious mind, clearing blocks in people’s energy fields. It can even involve soul level themes that have gone on for a very long time. I have studied and worked with all of these and more extensively.

I also help people to clarify and take the actions necessary to realize their dreams, once they are ready. But most importantly, I like to help them to learn how to do it all for themselves.

As an artist, I am both a singer/songwriter and a comedian. I have a few sketch comedy pieces on my Youtube channel, and have done some short films, but the majority of my art is in process. I am working on a show and on recording an album.

What sets me apart from others is just such a deep dive into so many different areas. I work both in the esoteric realms and am also very practical and grounded in terms of actualizing our human lives and working with our nervous systems. I am both very gentle and easy, but very persistent and strong at the same time.

How do you think about happiness?
I love writing and playing music. I love doing comedy. I love spending time in nature and having no obligations, and I really love helping other people to free themselves from the pain and trauma of a misaligned life.

I have a disabled bunny that I take care of currently whom I just love. He’s quite a bit more than just a bunny, he’s what I would call a Buddha Bunny. If there were ever a guru the world should look, it’s him. 🙂

I like spending time with like-minded people and building deep and meaningful relationships.
