An Inspired Chat with krissy allegra of Studio City

krissy allegra shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning krissy, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Something always sparks it—I get inspired in the most random of ways. When I start designing, time just disappears. One thought sparks another, and before I know it, I’ve gone deep into the creative rabbit hole. That process—the curiosity, the flow, the discovery—is exactly where I feel most grounded and alive.

And honestly, cleaning too. When I find a specific project to organize, I completely zone out—in the best way. It’s a different kind of calm that

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Krissy Allegra, creative director and lead planner of Always Allegra Events, a boutique event planning and design firm rooted in intentionality, creativity, and connection. We craft immersive, heartfelt celebrations that feel deeply personal — from destination wedding weekends to once-in-a-lifetime milestones and refined social gatherings.

At Always Allegra, we believe that beauty means more when it’s layered with meaning. Our approach combines elevated design with seamless logistics, ensuring that every detail not only looks exquisite but feels right. What sets us apart is our ability to translate who our clients are — their essence, their humor, their story — into experiences that reflect them authentically.

Each event is a new opportunity to create what I like to call “core memories built.” It’s not just about the décor or the timeline; it’s about designing a feeling that lingers long after the lights go down. That’s the magic we chase — and the standard we hold ourselves to with every event we produce.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was — and still am — a learner. When I was laid off during COVID, I thought I’d hit “rock bottom”. I really thought, that was the most embarrassing stage I had ever been in, at the time, I wasn’t able to look up and see how grateful I was and how everyone else was trudging through much more than I. There were tears, a few days of panic, and then… a quiet clarity. I wasn’t really lost after all — I just hadn’t recognized the path that was already in front of me.

What I thought was an ending was really a redirection. That moment pushed me toward the version of myself I was always meant to become — creative, grounded, and building something of my own. In hindsight, my future self and the map to get there were always there; it just took a pause (and a few tears) to finally see it.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell her to trust the quiet in-betweens. The pauses, the pivots, the moments that feel uncertain — they’re not detours, they’re direction. Every tear, every lesson, every late night wondering “what now?” is leading you exactly where you’re meant to go. You already have the map — just keep walking, even when you can’t see it yet.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
I’m as real as it gets, hahahhaha. Please ask anyone around me. There is no cover up on this girl!

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
I’d regret not taking enough time to feel the good parts — the calm after the chaos, the laughter between deadlines, the quiet pride after a long event weekend. Life moves fast in this industry, but I never want to miss the chance to recognize how far I’ve come, or how much joy exists in the in-between.
