An Inspired Chat with Ieema C of Los Angeles

We recently had the chance to connect with Ieema C and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ieema , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I believe I’m called to lead and inspire at a higher capacity than what I’ve been pushing. Revealing layers of myself that many don’t get to see or haven’t experienced.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ieema Copeland, known as Ieema C.
A Multi-Hyphenate/visionary from Los Angeles. Unable to be defined by a single medium or discipline, I’ve cultivated a career as a Creative Director, Choreographer, and Dancer spanning over 10 years in the entertainment industry. Kicking off 2025 strong performing in the Super Bowl SBLIX along side of Kendrick Lamar.

Beyond my accolades, I take pride in being a source of inspiration within my community. I’m a reminder that it’s possible to break boundaries and defy expectations. In everything I do, I aim to embody what it truly means to be a multi-hyphenate and to leave a lasting mark on the world around me. A rose who grew from the concrete, a walking testimony in so many words.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Being denied so many times by the industry and certain personal situations early on as a teenager. The rejection obviously was protection and I found purpose in my pain along the way.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
My grandmother, to know me is to know I’m a grandmas baby through and through. That was a the epitome of a safe place, you know they say a granny love is a love that can never be replicated. She’s one of the biggest reasons why I go so hard in my career. I would do a lot to have her back witnessing my greatness and resilience through this life.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say so, people always tell me they don’t know me but feel deeply connected to me. I show up in love, power, health, hustle, and motivation. I’m grounded, I walk with my head high even through rainy days if that makes sense.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Holding back and playing it safe.
