Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Watson
Hi Kimberly , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was raised by two AVON ladies, so my obsession with makeup and beauty started early.
As a child, I also had many psychic experiences, which led me to explore things like tarot, meditation, and magic during my teens and into adulthood.
My love of beauty really stuck with me, and at 24, I got my esthetician license and started my career in the beauty industry.
Working in beauty helped me understand just how important it is to feel good in your own skin and how much loving who you are is connected to self-confidence.
I loved helping people feel better about themselves, which is why I spent about 20 years in the beauty industry, doing everything from skincare to makeup, fragrance, event planning, and training. But I always wished I could somehow mesh my love of divination with beauty and keep that focus on helping others feel good about themselves.
One day, I learned about lip print readings, and the rest is history. The day I heard about it, I signed up to learn the art and science of reading lip prints, known as “Lipsology.”
At the same time, I was developing my intuitive abilities and learning new methods of divination.
As I progressed, the two naturally combined, and I developed my own unique method of reading lip prints using both Lipsology and divination. Today, I am best known for reading lips.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most definitely has not been smooth—but it has been powerful.
Starting my own business forced me to come out of my shell. I had to get comfortable with being seen, sharing my story, and promoting myself in ways I never had before.
Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. You must learn how to be a marketer, accountant, website builder, event planner, and still perform the work you are promoting, all while being comfortable with visibility.
It’s also not steady and predictable like a regular job. There are weeks when you’re booked solid, and others when things are slow. It has peaks and valleys, and people’s attention spans are shorter than ever, so you always have to think about what to create next or find new ways to share your services.
It’s a 24/7, 365-day job, and there’s only you to do it. I’m constantly learning and growing.
The biggest struggle is staying in the zone of inspiration. I often take time to remind myself why I started in the first place. When all you have to rely on is yourself, it’s easy to get burnt out and feel like giving up at times.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am most known for reading lips, and while there are other readers out there, I’m often told that what sets me apart is my warmth, sincerity, and ability to truly connect with my clients.
My readings feel more like a hangout with a friend—they are comfortable and inviting. I aim to leave my clients feeling better than they did when they first sat down. I’m very honest and authentic in my sessions. We have fun, engage in deep conversations, and connect over shared interests.
I’m most proud of the way I serve my clients. It’s incredibly fulfilling when people book me multiple times, whether for themselves or special events, or when they drop into my DMs or text me with updates about something we discussed during a reading.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I was lucky that when I started my business, the pandemic had just begun, giving me more time to focus on what I was building.
I was also fortunate to make so many amazing connections throughout my time in this business. I’ve learned from incredible healers, mediums, and coaches, and I’ve formed friendships that I truly treasure.
I was lucky to have to figure out how to read people’s lips through a screen! I’ve always been good at connecting with others, but doing so virtually pushed me to new levels in my connection skills.
There has been some bad luck here and there, but honestly, the good has far outweighed the bad. Building this brand has changed my life forever, and I am incredibly grateful.
