Hi Liza, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Liza Renee; CEO and Founder of Pure Aesthetics & Wellness. I have a background of being a registered nurse for 18 years specializing in various departments mainly Neurology and Stroke. I then became a Family Nurse Practitioner with 4 1/2 years experience in Internal Medicine and Aesthetic Wellness. My daughter Denise Marie is the Administrator with completion of bachelor’s degree in psychology and experience as a medical scribe and childhood actor.
I’ve always been an entrepreneur which most people don’t know about me due to the fact that most know me for my medical background. In 2016; I started up and successfully ran a compliant residential care facility for seniors. I knew I would always wanted to return to the business world but never did I think it would happen the way it did; spontaneously. Denise has always been very well rounded in these attributions with me and knowledgeable in the process and system operations.
First and foremost, we are a unique medical wellness “Medspa” that is owned and operated by a mother and daughter duo; this unique concept of a business started surprisingly with our clientele and trusted referrals with zero marketing. Secondly, our circle had an extreme trust in our knowledge, skills, and education that was the driving force. Lastly; was the faith we had in God, ourselves, knowledge base, and clientele that we continued to grow.
We initially started as a unique situation during the pandemic of 2020 that began with catering to an athletic and wellness population of clients in our surrounding community who placed their trust in me as a medical Practitioner due to the medical disparities occurring in the hospitals at the time; such as saturated hospital settings and limited medical personnel in various settings. Most clients would call to consult privately complimentary seeking advice and therapies which led me to performing customized IV’s for each individual. This initially was a complimentary service I provided at first not having a business plan in mind or at least was not part of my short term goals. Mobile and privately; these services became in high demand leading us to start up an office space for services.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Obstacles and challenges we have faced would be initially upon start up during the pandemic in 2020; medical supplies were limited and difficult to obtain. Maintaining good health was challenging during the pandemic; considering we catered to individuals who were seeking covid testing and recovery. This posed a huge challenge considering my daughter and I live with autoimmune health conditions which lead to a weakened immune system and flares that could last weeks at a time that would pose uncertainties and fear to our own health. Maintaining good health for us is crucial to this career path to be able to help others in need.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
We love the areas we serve from Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire as a mobile and in office location! As a mother-daughter duo; We value each and every one of our clients we service in any area and looking forward to expansion and growth! The unique relationships we have built with our clients are like no other; extremely grateful for all your support and trust in me, my daughter and staff nurses.
A few things we enjoy as a mother daughter duo are traveling and learning about different cultures, visiting different parts of the world and making it a goal to at least travel once to twice a year minimum since my daughter was very young and have maintained that tradition.
We enjoy and value time spent with family and friends, investing time in our career path, and fitness has been a very important hobby in our lifestyle to maintain our health overall.
