Life & Work with Josue Spindola of Harbor City LA.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josue Spindola

Hi Josue, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After my fathers death at the age of 19 I realized that I was left with a great responsibility and that was my family. At that time I decided to write 10 goals I wanted to accomplish in life and owning my own business was one of them. At the time I didn’t know what business it would be but i knew i wanted to be a business owner. As an immigrant there were many many hurdles I needed to overcome, it was not easy but I continued despite the hardships i faced. One of my first jobs in the US was as at Classic Cabinets, I knew very little about cabinetry, but my boss Phil took me under his wing and taught me everything he knew as well as my brother Carlos. I was determined to learn as much as I could and as time went on the hands on experience led me to love the cabinetry construction field. as the years went on I was promoted to positions of leadership working diligently towards my goal. In 2020 I decided turn in my resignation as the Supervising installer to open my very own Custom Cabinetry shop in Harbor City. Almost 5 years later I have continued to live my dream of being a business owner.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not completely a smooth road, there have been bumps, some injuries and the pandemic, but nothing that would keep me down.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialized in custom cabinetry and furniture, but not limited to this. I am best known for being able to bring to life what a customer asks for and my dedication. There is no one thing that has been impossible thus far.

I am most proud of the work i have accomplished as a business owner despite where it all began in 1993.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I have learned that being prepared for the unknown is crucial and is now an intricate part of my business.
