Inspiring Conversations with Kendra Fisher of Torelli Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendra Fisher

Hi Kendra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have deep roots in Costa Mesa; my grandparents were original owners of the first homes built in Mesa Verde, establishing a legacy that I proudly carry on today. Growing up in such a close-knit community, I’ve always felt a strong connection to the area. Now, I give back to the city by organizing community events like holiday light contests, outdoor movie nights, and leading a local run club at Costa Mesa Coffee Shop, Neat Coffee. These activities help strengthen the bonds within our neighborhood, and they reflect the values I hold dear in my real estate practice—trust, loyalty, and a genuine investment in the people I serve.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I think real estate TV shows often give the impression that business is handed to you or that it’s quick money, but that’s far from reality. My approach was to build my business through a long-term strategy—focusing on serving my community by giving back first, donating to local schools and neighborhoods, and building my name organically over time. The first two years were incredibly challenging, both financially and mentally. I invested more in community events and marketing than I was earning, and there were many moments where I questioned if I should continue.

On top of that, I lost my mom last year to a mental health battle. She was my biggest cheerleader and best friend, and her loss was devastating. But she also inspired me to keep pushing forward and to make her proud. Thankfully, my hard work paid off, and my business really started to take off in the third year.

As you know, we’re big fans of Torelli Realty. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business focuses on building lasting relationships through trust and loyalty, with an emphasis on truly helping others. What sets me apart is my commitment to creating memorable client experiences. I go beyond the typical real estate approach by hosting unique open house events featuring pizza pop-ups, coffee carts, and taco trucks, making the experience enjoyable and inviting for potential buyers. Additionally, I often cover the cost of staging and other upfront expenses for my clients to ensure their homes are presented in the best light, setting the client experience apart from other agents.

My aim is to provide more than just a service; I want each client to feel valued and supported every step of the way, knowing that I’m invested in their success and happiness.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5-10 years, I see the real estate industry becoming increasingly competitive, especially as inventory continues to decline. In this market, agents who are only transactional or focused solely on the money won’t last. Homebuyers and sellers are becoming more discerning, and they’re seeking agents who truly care about their needs and who are invested in their communities. The industry will shift towards those who offer a more personalized and relationship-focused approach, rather than those just chasing quick deals.

Agents who prioritize long-term relationships, community involvement, and genuine service will thrive, as clients want to work with professionals they trust and who add real value beyond the transaction. It’s crucial for agents to adapt, offer memorable experiences, and demonstrate they are in it for their clients, not just themselves.
