Dawn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a former pageant Queen, I wanted to create a cosmetic line that was affordable for the everyday working woman without breaking the bank. It was my mission to see young girls and women of all ages feel beautiful. In 2019 Southern Sass Cosmetics Inc was created to show everyone that you don’t have to spend all your money to look naturally beautiful. Helping woman across the world is the greatest accomplishment thus far and there is much more still to do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been smooth, but we are working through it. In 2019 was the start to COVID. In Florida we were shut down for 30 days. Not being able to get out and introduce my products made it tough. Sales were down and the economy was on the way down. Alot of personal money was put into the company to keep it going.

I’m a Southern woman with lots of sass and proud of it.
We all take on different identity’s and being true to yourself is what makes you your best self. It is not a privilege to be unique, it is a necessity.
I am the brand as a single mother. I wear all the products I manufacture!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I’m a single mom who has and values integrity! My confidence in myself with being creative, energetic, enthusiastic and professional help with the accomplishments thus far in life!
