Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Roma Wicks
Hi Heather, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The story of my current place in my entrepreneurship journey started when I met my husband. In my past life I was completely engulfed in the world of fashion, retail, e-commerce and marketing. But as many of us did, I completely shifted during the pandemic. The one thing I loved about that era is that so many of us found our real, true calling. Now I’m in the world of offering transformative experiences through my companies Lupasamama Mushroom Medicine and Support, Sacred Woman Collective Hi Desert retreats and women’s circles, Beer Burros & Brands rescue burros for events and The Kria EMF blocking products offering education around the subject.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s interesting because in my past life it was not a smooth road at all. And now all of my current businesses just flowed into place with ease. I realize now that it was my ego who wanted to be in that fast paced fashion world but the universe was constantly giving me so many struggles and tests along the way. Everything I am working on now has organically flowed into my life and not to say it’s not work anymore but just everything is flowing way more easily; showing me that this is really where I am meant to be.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What I’m known for is creating and offering transformational experiences.
With Lupasamama I facilitate mushroom journeys and I offer mushroom microdosing support. The medicine alone can offer a transformative experience however with the addition of my integration mentorships and microdosing support; this is was really creates the transformations.
At Sacred Woman Collective, I opened my own branch in the hi desert near Joshua Tree after partnering with the founder for the last couple of years on her women’s retreats that we host here at my ranch. Every time we host a retreat, people leave different people. It is incredible and it makes me so happy that the retreat world is doing so well because we as humans really need this human connection and to learn about the modalities we offer in order to transform.
For Beer Burros & Brands, it may not seem quite transformative but it actually is. Many people have never even seen a donkey in their lives and just for that fact it transforms people’s lives. Additionally, our burros are rescues. Many people don’t know the dark side of the equine world and what happens to them when they are auctioned off so I love educating people about this. I can’t tell you how many people say they want to rescue a burro after they see us! I hope they really do because these beings need our help to get so many of them out of the slaughter houses.
Lastly, at The Kria, we create EMF blocking products. We are the only luxury brand offering sustainable EMF blocking products. In addition to the products there is a huge component on education around this subject. My partner is a Building Biologist scientist and this is her life’s work. When I have our brand at pop ups I bring my EMF reader and am able to visually and audibly show people the levels of the EMFs and how our products work. This is something that you can’t unsee so in that way, it is totally transforming people’s lives! Also the effects of using our suggestions on how to lower the EMFs around you transform people’s sleep, cognitive and physical health!
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was born in the Virgin Islands in a bit of a magical setting. Our front yard was a bay and I had my own private lagoon I would play in. The Crusian men with swim their horses in the font “yard” too. I grew up with a father who was a yoga so I learned about yoga and breathing at age three and went to retreats throughout my childhood. This really shaped the person who I have always been. Calm and collected and believing in magic.
