Conversations with Mando Luna

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mando Luna

Hi Mando , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all Started in 1990 when my girlfriend and I walked into a small little church in paramount California. I was 16 and she was 17 , we already had a baby together, our lives were in shambles. We both came forward at the end of Service and gave our lives to God. Everything Changed from that day forward. We married a year later, been married 33 years now. Have 3 Children 5 grandchildren. We have been through so many hard times and great times in our lifetime, the Mountain top highs and The Valley lows. In 2018 we started a church in the Marriott Hotel courtyard with a handful of people and 6 years later we just moved into our New Facility!
We’re a Church that Loves God and Loves People.
We believe God has placed us in our Community to help bring those far from God back to Him.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s has definitely not been a smooth Road! Lol
I don’t Believe life is about a destination I truly believe it’s all about the Journey. In 2001 I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease that threatened my life. My doctor gave me 5 years then I would have to go on dialysis, I was only 28 years old. I can remember going into a deep depression and struggled with my purpose in life, At the time I was a youth Pastor in my home Church. There were so many challenges in that season of my life Being a husband and a dad of 3 , working a full time job, serving in my Church, and dealing with all the side effects of the medication they had me on, it all became overwhelming. Long story Short I had many offering to donate a kidney but unfortunately all of them were not a match. Then one day I came home from work, my wife said I need to talk to you, She said the doctor just called me, he said I’m a perfect match for you. My wife Lisa whom I met when I was 13 married at 17 became my kidney donor. It was an absolute miracle, saved my life and has allowed me to do what I’m still doing today .

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Pastor and I love what I do!!
I know what it’s like to suffer pain, loss, sickness, set backs, disappointments in this life.
But I also know how to navigate through as well. I love helping discover they’re God given potentials and help them navigate the course of their life.
One of the things I’m most proud is seeing people’s lives changed for the better. Seeing there families restored. See people that were sick become well.
At the end of the day my specialty is working with people.
I think one thing that sets me apart is that I connect with people on every level.
From politics, to business leaders, to every others business profession and I treat everyone with the same honor.
