Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Kantor
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up with my father being a Chiropractor. With that, I grew up with a more holistic approach to healthcare and a love for wellness and healthcare the more natural way. It wasn’t until I was in my 20s that I decided to follow my father’s footsteps and become a Chiropractor to share my love of holistic care and wellbeing with patients. In my last year of Chiropractic school, I took my love for animals and combined it with chiropractic care and became a Certified Animal Chiropractor through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Now I share my love of chiropractic with humans and animals.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not been a smooth road. When I was younger I wanted to go a different direction. It wasn’t until I realized I cannot do blood and guts, that I decided to help people without cutting them open. I also struggled during my schooling because my father passed away and I thought I lost my biggest support. It was difficult to become the next Dr. Kantor and now I think of it as an honor to be Dr. Kantor and continue his legacy and love for holistic healthcare.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
It took awhile and working for a few different offices to realize that I like to do treatment my own way. I don’t fit into a specific mold, so working for some offices made it difficult. What I am known for now and most proud of is being one of the only Certified Animal Chiropractors in Los Angeles. A lot of chiropractors think they can adjust an animal, but it takes a lot of studying and hands on to become certified and know how to properly handle animals.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years, I hope that we (Chiropractors) become more mainstream. Hopefully the healthcare industry realizes that we are trained doctors who specialize in musculoskeletal injuries and can help with minimal expenses, time, and medications.
