Today we’d like to introduce you to Chibueze Chima

Hi Chibueze , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Nigeria.
I’m from the Eastern Region we are called igbos. I came to America 11 years ago in search of the American dream.
I had several jobs on my way to opening The Tribe. but those jobs were nothing to write home about.
until I decided it was time to create a space that represents us as a people and as a culture
I I decide to create a space that we all as a people in referenece to my culture can have a place to call home . and I’m not just talking about Nigerians but Africans and African-American at large. and that was how the idea started to create the Tribe Entertainment Center

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it was a hard road to Travel.

Dealing with regulatory requirements, permits, licenses, and other bureaucratic hurdles can be very complex.

Establishing connections within the community, finding reliable suppliers, and building a customer base was verh crucial in the early stages of the business

Maintaining the authenticity of African culture while appealing to a broader audience and ensuring commercial success can be a delicate balance.

5. Overcoming Self-Doubt and Criticism:
Doubts and skepticism, whether from others or from within, can be hurdles to overcome when pursuing a unique entrepreneurial vision. it was tasking.

6. Adapting to a New Market:
– Transitioning from your Nigerian background to the American market may have presented cultural, operational, or marketing challenges that required adaptation.

But regardless of this all I kept moving forward.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I studies agriculture in school
so basically I’m a farmer. but now a club owner
as a nightclub owner I manage
and get involved in the day to day operations of the business
which include hiring of staffs,making sure all records and kept to oversee the smooth running of the business

I’m proud that regardless of all odds I kept moving forward. through the dark days and long night I was determined to complete a task I took. which is to open The Tribe .
I think my appetite for risk sets me apart from alot of people and a willingness to be successful.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I’m open lol don’t really have a favorite.
maybe Lord of the rings.
