Today, we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Heath.
Hi Chloe, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Before focusing exclusively on interiors, I spent years working as an art director and graphic designer for luxury lifestyle and hospitality brands in New York City. After some continued education in Interiors at Pratt Institute, I worked for a few interior designers before relocating to LA in early 2020, when I essentially launched my firm.
It started very organically with a few projects and has grown now to a firm with 4+ employees. I wanted to create a firm that puts our clients at the front of everything we do. We focus on deeply understanding their needs and aesthetic preferences and also making the experience of working with us fun and stress-free. We now work on projects across LA and the US.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think any business owner has had a completely smooth journey, but I’ve felt so lucky for our generally smooth road and completely organic growth. As a team, we feel like we still learn something new every day, and we are constantly reassessing our processes.
Setting boundaries as a business owner has been a struggle, and I’m finally getting into a good groove with that four years later. It can be a tough balance because we care so deeply about making our clients happy, but I’ve learned that over time, boundaries and clear processes/expectations help make the experience better for everyone. A big struggle we have that is unique to our industry is finding great trade partners like contractors, builders, etc.
So much of our ability to execute a project successfully rests on the quality and process of their work, so it is difficult when that doesn’t meet our expectations since they are an outside party. But overall, we have had the most wonderful clients, which makes it a joy to do this work every day.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Heath Interiors?
We are a full-service interior design firm, and we work on projects of all scales and sizes, from furnishing and decoration to completely custom new construction projects.
Ultimately, our job is to create meaningful, beautiful, and functional homes that reflect our clients while having fun along the way. The process of creating a home can be long, expensive, and stressful at times.
By hiring us, we try to make interior design a luxury, white-glove experience for our clients.
Our streamlined process and strong focus on getting to know our clients deeply are what differentiates us from other firms. At the end of the day, we think design should be fun and enjoyable, so we do everything we can to prioritize it for our clients and our own team. We love what we do! Our portfolio and ongoing projects are all extremely diverse, and we’re really proud of that.
We enjoy working on homes of different styles and clients with different aesthetic preferences. We’re honored that clients trust our vision and knowledge of their needs to help create spaces that they will live in and create memories for years to come!
How do you define success?
For me personally, success is having happy clients, a supportive work environment for everyone on our team, creating work we are proud of, and a financially stable business to support all of that!
