Meet Hannah Mathews of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Mathews

Hi Hannah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
A whole lot of faith in God & taking the risks that come with it – it’s been so worth it and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Born and raised in the Middle East, I feel so blessed to have a family that’s been supportive of my dreams ever since I was a young girl. I began my music journey at the age of 4 years old & my love for the arts and entertainment world has only grown ever since. Thanks to my mother, I’ve always been involved in singing and poetry competitions right through school and college. I joined my first band when I was in college & there was no turning back since. Music & performing has always been more than just about making a living – it’s been a way of expression of life itself. Getting to be here in Los Angeles and pursue the same has been more than a dream come true – the dream has grown and expanded as I now delve into the acting world & Hollywood – quite a thrilling experience as a performer & I feel very blessed to be able to do this.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
So far, it’s been a fairly smooth transition, thanks to the amazing community I’ve had the pleasure of growing with here. However, it’s been a GOOD kind of hard, where I’m continuing to grow as an artist & dealing with all the different personality types – I’ve been learning to not compromise on my values, and speak truth in love.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an Indian gospel musician/singer. I was born and raised in Kuwait & singing has been a part of my whole life, growing up. I’ve always loved entertaining – whether it’s my family at home or an audience at a live concert.
Currently, I’ve delved into the world of acting and it’s been an absolutely thrilling experience.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I was fascinated at how Covid-19, brought the world together in a way – even though we were all isolated physically in our homes – I remember collaborating on projects with people across the globe during that time- people that I typically wouldn’t have even worked with if it weren’t for COVID-19. So, in a way, I guess there was this sense of feeling we’re never truly alone. There is always a way to connect to each other.
