Inspiring Conversations with Elissa Goodman of EG Kitchen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elissa Goodman.

Elissa Goodman

Hi Elissa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Personal health and educating others on their health and wellness have been passions of Elissa’s for many years. She had issues with her health for her entire life, from cancer to autoimmune issues and Hashimoto’s in her 30s. Beyond her own health, she has also struggled with watching various loved ones suffer from health-related issues, including her husband Marc, who lost his battle with cancer in his mid-40s.
She decided it was time to take her health into my own hands, so she became an Integrative Holistic Nutritionist. Fast forward several years, and she has helped thousands of clients manage their health issues, and she has created her own delivered EG Kitchen Cleanse in Los Angeles. She has created several successful cleanses with Cafe Gratitude and M cafe, and her own digital reset guides. The EG Kitchen Cleanse allows people to have nourishing, vibrant, healing food delivered right to their doorstep so that clean eating is easier than ever. Most importantly, her cleanse is made with love! Her mission is to educate and encourage healthy, mindful living and help others embrace the concept that we are products of what we eat and how we treat ourselves!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not… Like a lot of us, when I got out of college, I wanted the fast life of a “successful” businesswoman. I worked long hours at a stressful job, fueling myself with caffeine and expensive restaurant dinners. Exercise was considered a luxury, and sleep was for those who didn’t care about moving up the ladder. I was going to conquer the world. Then I felt a lump. When the doctor told me I had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, I couldn’t believe it. I was only 32 – people like me didn’t get cancer. I had recently gotten married and was going to start a family. I was “healthy,” wasn’t I? The doctor recommended chemotherapy and radiation, but I knew I had always had a compromised immune system, and chemo could be the end of me because of it. With that said, I knew that I had to take action fast. After a lot of research and listening to my inner voice, I chose to skip the chemo, shorten my radiation regimen, and pursue an alternative path. I was lucky to find a doctor who agreed with that protocol. After my cancer diagnosis, I discovered that I also had Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and Celiac disease. I had a long path of healing in front of me. I decided to commit to both the physical and mental aspects of recovery. I left my job and began managing my stress through talk therapy, yoga, reiki, energy healing, and more. Well-being became a massive part of the healing process along with food. I also learned that what people told me was good food wasn’t always healthy food. I began juicing and eating a more plant-based diet – within a few months, I began to heal!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
After winning my battle with cancer by cleansing my own body, I’ve committed my life to helping others cleanse their toxins and to live confidently inside a healthy body. Aside from the physical results, my “Elissa Goodman Guarantee” is that by the end of our session, you will leave feeling energized and excited to begin to THRIVE!

I also created the EG Kitchen delivered cleanse throughout LA. Crafted with over ten years of expertise and inspired by the lives changed by thousands of clients worldwide, the EG Kitchen Cleanse is a true labor of love. I’ve witnessed firsthand its ability to make a profound difference. Though this cleanse has evolved over the years, one truth remains: it’s a testament to the power of organic, whole foods. In just 3-5 days, you will reap the benefits of over 50 different vegetables, healing spices, herbs, and superfoods. You will not find any seed oils, gluten, dairy, refined sugar, or other common inflammatory triggers.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Many people think that cleansing means starving yourself or drinking juices all day. My approach to cleansing is gentle and accessible for those looking to renew, recharge, rejuvenate, and maintain their healthy lifestyle. People also ask if it is too late to change, feel your best, get your bloodwork levels into range, etc. My answer? Absolutely NOT!!! It is never “too late,” and I’m here to tell you it is possible to feel great, regardless of your age.

I personally run thorough bloodwork 1-2 times every single year, and I recommend that each of my clients do the same. Of course, I understand this can be time-consuming and confusing, so I’ve created my bloodwork bundle to make this as easy and cost-effective as possible. You can learn more about my offerings on my website!

  • EG Kitchen Cleanses range from $275-$475
  • My bars and granola range from $6-16

  • My bloodwork bundle is $700
  • My regular client sessions start at $300
