Today we’d like to introduce you to Erinn Askin.

Hi Erinn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
In 2021, my business was established out of necessity. When my eldest daughter started kindergarten, she faced significant challenges, including severe emotional dysregulation, difficulty interacting with peers, and academic setbacks. Her school struggled to accurately identify her needs and provided limited support. After transitioning her to a more suitable environment where her needs were better understood, we were advised to seek professional intervention. Consequently, we began searching for a social skills group tailored to neurotypical children experiencing emotional dysregulation.

With nearly 15 years of experience as an occupational therapist, I decided to create a space that catered to her needs and those of similar children in our community. As word spread about our effective and impactful programs, our groups quickly gained popularity. Engaging deeply with the community, I continuously sought feedback and discovered a strong demand for support and therapy that demonstrated tangible progress, even though such progress can often be gradual.

Through extensive research and education, I became aware of photobiomodulation and decided to incorporate it into my therapy practice, further enhancing the support we provide to our clients.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Growing a business takes hard work and dedication and the road is long and winding. I faced a lot of struggles with getting an appropriate facility due to the nature of my work and being a new business. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to just get started, but I kept at it until I was successful.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
