Life & Work with Max Wasa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Max Wasa.

Max Wasa

Hi Max, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started my career in the arts at a very young age. Coming from a family of successful artists was a huge blessing. But no career comes easy. You have to study, train, and never give in to self-doubt.

By the age of 15, I was out on my own with a solid resume.

I continue to study and evolve.

I find great in joy in all aspects of the arts.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There will always be days that you feel like giving up. There will always be someone younger with a different kind of talent. The key is knowing there is only one you. A bump in the road is just that, a bump.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for my work on screen in film and television as well as my work in music as one of the only female producers to win a lifetime achievement award for the LA music awards. I also work behind the camera as a screenwriter and film producer.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I learned to use time wisely during the Covid Crisis. I completed 3 full film scripts and created television shows. You never know if it’s your last day, so don’t leave anything unwritten.
