Daily Inspiration: Meet Melia , Kelsey Lisette, Ceco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melia , Kelsey Lisette, Ceco

Hi Melia , Kelsey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We started the business together this last February. We initially met working for another rip and ship company. After being there nearly a year, we both decided it was time to move on. The TCG world is, like Hollywood, a male-dominated business. Both of us being actors, we could draw similarities to the disparities both on set and in the TCG world. We wanted to create an environment where women felt welcomed and could thrive in the TCG community. Kelsey recently got married and while discussing her honeymoon after her return, we talked about the possibility of opening a rip and ship ourselves. Within a few days, we started our paperwork and officially streamed our first live on Tik Tok on April 13th! We actually took a photo outside the diner (in a bowling alley) we were in to commemorate the moment. We will include it here (it’s the goofy one).

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Considering a lot of other stories, it’s been smoother than most. We were very blessed to find out early that Kelsey is good with numbers and Melia is good with communication (social media, emailing, etc). With our skills combined and tenacity to make the company thrive, it has been relatively smooth sailing. We definitely didn’t expect the amount of paperwork though…. Haha

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Kelsey is an absolutely INCREDIBLE singer. Over the years, she’s spent time singing in exclusive lounges like Club 33 and amongst fellow performers in her choral group.

Melia is an actor who does production assistant work on the side. With five years and numerous shows under her belt, she has the Hollywood behind the scenes resume and hopes to continue to build her front of camera resume.

While both our main focus is acting, we also love being able to open cards on Tik Tok for a living. It’s surreal and an unexpected life event neither of us saw on our 2024 bingo card.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Honestly, the support from the TCG online community has been immense. Their kindness has been much appreciated. If anyone would further like to get involved, we are doing monthly Pokemon toy drives and events. We just finished our very first this last Friday (the 26th) and were able to donate 335 packs of Temporal Forces to LA Children’s and Cleveland Clinic. With this, we will have a table at LA Comic Con this October. All are welcome to stop by and say hi!
