Today, we’d like to introduce you to Andra Corral. Andra was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Ashley Vasquez.
Andra , can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Opening Cookies N Pints was the culmination of almost 20 years of work. I studied Baking and Pastry in culinary school, worked at hotels and high-end bakeries, catered small events, and spent a year as a cook at a mountain camp facility. I burned out and took a break when I got pregnant with my first kiddo.
At the beginning of the Pandemic, I started a home-based gourmet cookie business to return to the pastry world. I was in love again.
I was approached in 2021 about renting a space in Historic Downtown Upland to expand my cookie Business. Without hesitation, my husband became my business partner, and we got to work on building our cookie and ice cream shop.
We opened the doors to Cookies N Pints in December of 2022, selling baked-from-scratch gourmet cookies and small-batch ice cream. We have been open for over a year, and I still can’t believe I get to share my passion with the community every day.
Please tell us more about your brand, Cookies N Pints
We are a gourmet cookie and ice cream shop in Historic Downtown Upland. Our cookies, brownies, and other baked goods are baked from scratch. We also make all our ice creams in small batches at the shop. Our concept is to use our baked goods in our ice cream, which gives us unique flavor profiles that can’t be replicated anywhere else. I also love to create special recipes based on customer requests. As a brand, we focus on doing our best and producing the best quality products.
Ashley Vasquez and TBD Coffee Co have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Ashley Vasquez and TBD Coffee Co and your experience with them.
I knew I wanted to sell coffee in my shop. Baked goods and coffee are a great duo. I didn’t want to sell a brand my customers could find at the grocery store. I also wanted to find a brand that was somewhat local.
I looked at dozens of brands but they didn’t fit the personality of my shop. I found TBD Coffee Co., and I was hooked once I sampled their coffee. Ashley reached out to me right away and was super helpful. She even stopped by my shop so we could meet! I love being able to support Ashley and her small business, and she is such a great supporter of my business.
I personally drink TBD Coffee Co everyday and my customers love it too. I have customers who come to my shop just to buy the coffee.
