Daily Inspiration: Meet Brian Cantu

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Cantu.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started? 
My name is Baby Dreko; I’m from Greeley, Colorado. Music is my passion, and the first time I fell in love with music was in 2013. Artists that really inspired me was Kendrick Lamar, Mac Dre, and Outkast. Everything from the beats, the lyrics, and how it was composed helped me find my niche. I started to take things seriously my senior year of high school. During senior year, I started to focus more on my music, this helped me perfect my craft. 

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some of the struggles for me starting out were learning the development process for music, such as finding the right beats, and my style. The more I wrote and freestyle the better it flowed together. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a rap artist known for my lyrical skills. My drive and dedication helped me write this album that I’ve been working on; my style is different from others, adding my personality and Storytelling to my music. 

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I have an album coming out this summer and a few music videos.
