Hi Miguel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story. 
Owning a meat market at the time customers started requesting catering. Having the resources for high-quality meats and knowledge behind Mexican food, we decided to give catering a try, and 13 years later, we’re still in business and now full-time catering only. 

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We went from having 1 event every 2 to 3 months. To now having multiple events a week or fully booked some weekends. Definitely was not smooth, it took time, patience, and a lot of determination to get where we are now. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about That Mexican Guy Catering?
We specialize in Mexican food mainly tacos, but we do offer other traditional Mexican dishes and also BBQ (picanha, chicken, lobster, ribs). What sets us apart from the rest is QUALITY. Meat that we use for our tacos is only Prime grade meats, setting us above the competition. We also focus on the quality of our side dishes and setup. 

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
What’s worked for me has always been listening to the customer. What it is they like, don’t like, and would like to have for future events. Making sure our customers are pleased with our service and setup has worked wonders for us and opened many doors.
