Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Jacobsen Edmunds.

Adrienne Jacobsen Edmunds

Hi Adrienne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My career in the restaurant industry has spanned over 33 years ago. Most notably, In 1999 I moved to New Orleans and met my husband Eric. After a quick engagement we were married in New Orleans at the world famous Brennan’s restaurant, where we both worked. Although Mother Nature had other plans for us…We had to leave the city due to hurricane Katrina in 2005 and moved out to the Coachella Valley to be near my Dad. We fully enjoyed life in the desert with our 3 kids and continued to work in the industry separately at resorts and country clubs. But we have always dreamed of owning a restaurant together. We visited Idyllwild many times with the kids and fell in love with Cafe Aroma. We decided to take the plunge and buy Cafe Aroma in May 2023 and have never looked back!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Cafe Aroma is an older cabin that was made into a restaurant, so it uniquely has challenges with a small kitchen and requires lots of maintenance due to its age.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
Cafe Aroma truly is a unique cabin restaurant, beautifully nestled in the trees of Idyllwild with vintage mountain charm, cozy indoor and outdoor dining , world-fusion food, award winning wine list, unique dining art gallery, live music and warm hospitable service. Cafe Aroma has been a beloved restaurant in our small town of Idyllwild for over 20 years. It becomes a gathering and social place for locals and visitors alike!
