Hi Yvonne & Michael, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our vision for Livery Studio was to create a professional work environment that is large enough to support a thriving community and, at the same time, feel intimate and comfortable. Finding this beautiful history building across from Central Park in Pasadena was the perfect foundation for building a modern, unique coworking + event space that is also in harmony with historical Old Pasadena. With our own backgrounds in the design industry, we leveraged our experiences in hospitality and corporate office design to create this beautiful studio that brings a sense of sophistication and comfort.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
After finding this beautiful historic building, we put our past experience to work and designed the space on our own and tapped into all our connections to bring the Livery Studio to life.
While managing the construction process, we were learning a new business, figuring out all the tools, and building out our marketing material. We were too hands-on and tried to do everything ourselves while trying to balance our family priorities.
Learning this new business was both exciting and frustrating at times. Somehow managed to pull it off.

Livery Studio is an independently developed and operated coworking and flexible event space with true local Pasadena charm. Built in 1906, originally the Star Saddle Livery serving guests from the Hotel Green, the building is now reimagined into a flexible, creative coworking office space complete with a multi-purpose event space, conference rooms, and open collaboration areas. We offer monthly memberships for office suites and dedicated desks as well as daily drop-in rates for coworking and meeting spaces. The space is fully furnished and includes lots of amenities for our members, such as internet, printing, snacks and beverages, locker and phone booth usage, etc. Our flexible event space can be used for corporate training, off-site all-hands meetings, seminars, photo/film shoots, workshops, product launches, private parties, or anything you may need a fully equipped space for.
Located in the heart of charming Old Pasadena, Livery Studio is within walking distance to many great restaurants, shopping, Metro stations, parking facilities and also directly across the street from Central Park. With its many beautifully preserved characters, it is a part of the historic district of Old Pasadena under the National Register of Historical Places.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My friends and family make me happy. I enjoy spending time with people and connecting with them. Being able to travel and having new experiences also brings me joy and much needed inspiration and relaxation.
