Gevin Fax

Hi Gevin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I began riding when my parents took me to a minibike motocross place. I entered into a race against all boys when I was 8 years old and won the race. After that, I was hooked. I got my 1st motorcycle at 10 years old… then I just kept getting bigger bikes. I went from the moped to a 175 Honda, 350 Honda twin, 750-4 Honda, 1982 Big twin 1300 FXWG Harley Davidson, 1999 Sportster Harley, 2001 Harley Davidson Roadking, 2021 116 Indian Chieftain Darkhorse. I have logged in more than 1.5 million miles on my motorcycles over the years. I’ve been on several documentaries for the Discovery Channel. I have been featured in several articles, books, television shows, and Podcasts. I have been on the MCA RECORDING ARTIST label, I have appeared on MTV, VH1, and Soul Train. I am on the Women’s Empowersports council for Polaris, and I am an Ambassador for Indian Motorcycle and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. I was featured in a Short film called THE LITAS, which went worldwide and Premiered on the HBO and SONY red carpet. I am a professional musician, SAG/AFTRA entertainer, motorcycle stuntwoman, and Speakers Bureau Global Ambassador. I am an athletic Hall of Fame recipient and was a scholar athlete. I have been riding for over 56 years. I was also a motorcycle test driver mechanic for the Transportation Research Center.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being seen for my achievements rather than as an African American female, lesbian. I learned very quickly that it was imperative for me to be extraordinary to be recognized in American society.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I absolutely love being the voice for women in motorcycling. My biggest joy is empowering women to live their best life without limitations. That besides teaching physical education, earning a masters degree, and owning several small businesses. I love doing leather work, designing and collecting old Native American artwork and artifacts. In addition to touring all over the United States and abroad on my motorcycle. I am most proud of the many television productions I have done to further empower women. I believe I am different in that I walk to a different drumbeat than most.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
