Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Garcia.
Hi Andrew, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Andrew Garcia, and I am the CEO of Syndicus Defense Corp. As a 33-year-old law enforcement professional and entrepreneur from Los Angeles County, I have combined my passion for public safety with my drive for business to lead this company to new heights.
My educational journey began at Worcester State University, where I became the first person in my family to earn an undergraduate degree. I majored in Criminology, and to broaden my horizons, I pursued a minor in Spanish for the Professions. Recognizing the growing intersection of technology and law enforcement, I furthered my education by applying for my Masters program in Cybercrime from Boston University, positioning myself at the forefront of this evolving field.
With a decade of experience in law enforcement, I have served in various roles, including jail operations, patrol, and training. Recently, I was promoted to the position of detective, which allows me to utilize both my academic and practical skills to make a difference in my community. In parallel with my law enforcement career, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by founding Syndicus Defense Corp.
Over the past four years, Syndicus Defense Corp has established itself as a leading manufacturer of American-made weaponry. We take pride in our commitment to excellence and strive to set a new standard in public safety. Our products are meticulously designed and manufactured here in the United States, specifically in Orange County, California.
But we don’t stop at manufacturing. Syndicus Defense Corp also conducts advanced tactical training, ensuring that our products are tested and proven effective in practical applications. Our dedication to innovation is exemplified by our AI-powered UAS drone, which has revolutionized public safety. We are proud to have established the first training facility dedicated to UAS drone training for public safety, highlighting our pioneering approach.
My dual career paths in law enforcement and entrepreneurship have allowed me to bring a unique perspective to both sectors. By combining my knowledge and experience, I strive to create a synergy that benefits not only my community but also the American people as a whole.
At Syndicus Defense Corp, our goal is to provide the American people with the best selection of firearms as they exercise their right to bear arms. We are committed to manufacturing high-quality firearms right here in the United States, in the state of California. We appreciate the support of our Syndicus Army, and we remain dedicated to challenging the status quo, staying true to our word, and always delivering on our promise of excellence.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building and establishing Syndicus Defense Corp within the firearm industry has presented a unique set of challenges and obstacles, particularly in navigating the complex terrain of financial transactions and societal perceptions. A significant trial has been the struggle with credit card companies and financial institutions reluctant to process payments or hold funds, citing non-alignment with their corporate beliefs or policies regarding firearms. This resistance not only complicates business operations but also underscores a broader societal debate around the Second Amendment and the rights it guarantees. The endeavor to assert this constitutional right in the face of private entities’ opposition highlights a contentious intersection between commerce, rights, and corporate ethics.
Moreover, operating in a state that enforces stringent firearm ownership and usage regulations adds another layer of complexity. The evolving legal landscape, with new case laws aiming to curb the exercise of the Second Amendment, poses continuous challenges for both the business and its clientele who seek to lawfully indulge in their rights. These state-specific hurdles amplify the difficulty of advocating for and exercising firearm rights within a regulatory environment that increasingly seeks to limit them. Furthermore, navigating the uncharted waters of entrepreneurship within a family with no prior business ownership history against a backdrop of governmental uncertainty and escalating inflation has tested resilience and adaptability. Despite these multifaceted challenges, Syndicus Defense Corp has managed to grow at a sustainable pace, demonstrating resilience and commitment to its mission, its brand, and the community it serves. This journey, fraught with obstacles, has underscored the importance of perseverance and advocacy in upholding constitutional rights and establishing a fledgling business amidst adversities.
As you know, we’re big fans of Syndicus Defense Corp. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The mission of Syndicus Defense Corp is to provide the American people with the highest quality defense products, ensuring the safety and protection of our civilians, law enforcement, and military. We are committed to manufacturing American-made products in Orange County, California, and our dedication to precision and meticulous quality control is upheld by our team of skilled engineers.
Our mission extends beyond manufacturing, as we strive to lead in innovation by developing the next generation of weapons and exploring cutting-edge cerakoting. We empower our engineers to design custom weaponry tailored to the specific needs of the American people. Collaboration with our training group and instructors allows us to thoroughly test these weapons in practical applications, ensuring their effectiveness and reliability.
Furthermore, Syndicus Defense Corp aims to be at the forefront of future Aerospace and drone technology. By combining artificial intelligence with practical experience, we create life-saving technologies that contribute to the security and well-being of the American people.
Ultimately, our goal is to provide the American people with the quality and reliability they deserve. As a company founded on the values this country holds dear, we are dedicated to upholding those principles and serving our nation with unwavering commitment.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
As an entrepreneur and the first in my family to blaze this trail, I find joy in the multifaceted journey of entrepreneurship, which draws its strength from both personal fulfillment and the empowerment of others. The ability to blend my passion with my purpose, particularly through enjoying the outdoors and valuing my personal time, is a fundamental source of my happiness. This harmonization of personal interests with my professional life not only enriches my existence but also instills a sense of balance and fulfillment that goes beyond traditional job satisfaction. My commitment to teaching and helping others achieve their goals, whether they’re friends or family, further amplifies this happiness. I firmly believe that sharing the lessons I’ve learned on my journey is crucial for empowering those around me. By spreading knowledge and experiences, I aim to nurture a community that grows and learns together, emphasizing that we should never withhold what we’ve learned about ourselves, our futures, or our business endeavors.
I understand how important it is to clearly separate my personal time from my business activities, a realization that has steered me toward both personal growth and business improvement. This deliberate distinction is crucial, enabling the rejuvenation of my spirit and the development of new ideas that can be applied to overcome business challenges. Such practices ensure my ongoing personal development and the capacity to approach my business with a clear, innovative mindset. Therefore, my entrepreneurial journey is not solely about the successes of my business endeavors but also about personal growth, the happiness derived from helping others grow alongside me, and the knowledge of how crucial it is to balance the demands of business with the needs of my personal life. This comprehensive approach to entrepreneurship not only defines my happiness but also serves as a model for future generations, proving that true success includes both professional achievements and personal contentment.
