Rising Stars: Meet Davi Stefond

Today we’d like to introduce you to Davi Stefond.

Davi Stefond

Hi Davi, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Well, I always knew I was going to be in some sort of entertainment when I was younger. When we are young, we want it all! I grew up an athlete (soccer), and I thought that being a professional soccer player was going to be in the cards for me. Although I did do theater in high school it didn’t really dawn on me that acting was what I really wanted to do and was passionate till I was about 28 years old. It wasn’t until 29 when I really took it serious and started pursuing acting. I had already studied in high school and taken a few classes here and there, so I got the ground basics before really diving all in. Now residing in Los Angeles, I’m doing my acting thing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m still at the beginning of my career, it’s so early! There have been blessings yes, but it’s a very interesting journey. You have ups and downs. You do 100 auditions and hear nothing back. That can be a lot for some people, and they tap out. You then ask yourself am I that delusional, is this really for me? Can I stick it through? I pretty much moved to Los Angeles on my own, no connections, wasn’t born into it, or a super wealthy family, so figuring it all on my own and doing it is very challenging, however if you have a dream…I say go for it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an actor. I love being able to escape and play roles that you may never experience in real life. Being able to connect with characters and with people. At the moment, because we’re just at the beginning of my invasion 🤪.

Getting a billboard on Sunset Boulevard. Yknow I didn’t get any handouts, and I’m not the “typical” looking movie star, so to be seen and shown to people is something so special for a guy like me.

I’ve lived a lot of lives for someone my age, I think my life experiences set my apart. I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I think everyone has their own journey and what works for me may not work for them and vice versa. I don’t have a mentor, I just talk to close personal friends, but I do follow actors and see how they are who I admire and learn from them.
