Today we’d like to introduce you to Estefania Quintero.
Hi Estefania, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and my family and I immigrated to the United States when I was 9 years old. I moved states when I graduated High School at 17 from Arizona to California for college.
While attending college I started to gain some weight, which made me feel a bit self-conscious. I started dressing less like myself and found myself covering up my body more and more.
In the process of this I found the love of my life and we got married when I was just 19. He helped me gain back my confidence by complimenting me and just loving me the way I was.
So, I decided to start dressing my body the way I wanted and slowly found my style again. I also started posting my outfits on Instagram, hoping to inspire others to also feel confident with their bodies and find their own unique style.
I now get approached at festivals and get told that they were inspired by me to wear their outfits or that I helped them gain more confidence and, honestly, it makes me so happy.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was definitely not a smooth road, one day you will love the way you look and the next day you hate it. It’s a constant battle with yourself and it’s okay to have the bad days. I myself still have bad days, especially around that time of the month haha.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a fashion content creator. I mainly focus on sharing how I style my size 12/14 body with my followers. My overall goal is to have a positive impact on the people that come across my page, I want them to feel confident and empowered that they can be themselves. I am definitely most known for my passion for fashion.
