Los Angeles-based musician, songwriter, and inspiring actor “BIG-O” has cemented his reputation as a seasoned lyricist through his freestyle songwriting and live performances. Pursuing everything they said he couldn’t, he has toured the United States, earning and growing his fan base daily with dreams of being his own exec. He has a dream to make his independent label (Livin Our Dreamz) L.O.D. the hottest entertainment company on the planet in the near future. What separates him from other artist he is authentic and versatile. This man stands in a class all by himself with the ability to switch his style musically. He effortlessly flows over a wide range of beats from the South to the East to the West Coast; infused in his music, there is always the underlying theme of pain, disloyalty from those closest to him, and hardships he draws from his past and present and beating the odds stacked against him a true survivor a child from the gutta, the group homes, a broken home, juvenile detention, county jail, prison and still kept his vision, he remained strong mentally and spiritually. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No smooth road for me; nothing was handed to me; I’m self-educating myself on the music and film industry; some of my struggles may have been the lack of funds and inside connections to the film and music industry, no short cuts has been given trust me I’m getting it all out the mud, my hard work, dedication and manifestations will pay off in due time.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an inspiring actor, writer, and musician. I specialize in performing arts such as music and acting, I’m a registered member with “uncutcastingservices” for over two years now, and they have been real good to my with getting me extra roles to get my feet wet and learn the game; I’m aiming for speaking roles now and a partnership with a major label to help me with distribution and marketing… What sets me apart from others is everything I do is from the heart, I’m authentic and original and I believe in myself, I will write a book about my life from childhood til now and call it “Trust and believe me” the memoirs of Big-O.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Never give up on yourself, trust your intuitions, keep believing in yourself, keep faith in God, and keep God first because all things are possible through God; eat healthy, exercise, and protect your peace.
