Community Highlights: Meet Anna Gryunshpan of Members Medical Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Gryunshpan.

Anna Gryunshpan

Hi Anna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
In 2009, I got a job working at a dermatology office and really enjoyed it, so I knew once I got my degree that I wanted to work with skin. I got my BSN and became a registered nurse in 2017. I immediately started working in aesthetics while continuing my education to get my master’s degree. After spending four years working for other medical spas and learning all I can, I felt motivated to improve upon the gaps in quality I noticed, so I became a licensed family nurse practitioner in 2023 and decided to run my own medical spa.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been an amazing journey, learning all the different procedures and working with the amazing patients along the way. I took as much knowledge and experience as I could at each facility that I worked at and perfected my skills to grow into the provider I am today. I’ve struggled only with the sales-driven industry as it’s not in my nature to sell.

My biggest concern of ever owning a practice as a medical provider was losing my connection with my patients and having to focus on the business aspect of keeping it running. It is so important to me to maintain my patient care and personal approach, so I’m making sure to delegate those day-to-day dealings so I can focus on my craft.

We’ve been impressed with Members Medical Spa, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are consistently booked for our Icoone treatment that patients love for their body contouring, cellulite reduction, scar improvement, and skin tightening needs. When it comes to injections, my clients love Sculptra for a beautiful, natural, youthful look.

I take a very personal approach with my patients, get to know them, and make sure they can always reach me. I am honest with my recommendations and always make sure my patient is comfortable because they are involved and part of the process. I am big on educating my clients and allowing them to make decisions. We host events at the spa, upload stories on our Instagram daily, and plan on adding even more resources for patients.

The facility is clean, elegant, yet warm and welcoming. We have an amazing team, and everyone is the best at what they do. Everyone at Members is professional, the experience is personal, and you get quality results. We offer facials, massages, various lasers, IVs, injectables, and other various treatments.

All patients get a comprehensive assessment that analyzes the patient as a whole. Not just how the patient looks, but a full and total review of how they feel and where issues may be originating from. We offer bloodwork and various panels, so we are looking at the entire picture and being thorough. We address any deficiencies, as well as work on any visual preferences. From head to toe, I want to help my patients look good and feel good.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’m enjoying the freedom and independence of owning my own med spa without having to meet sales quotas and targets or having to restrict each patient’s time with me. Focusing on patient care and outcomes has shown me how important and appreciated honesty and integrity is in this industry. The trust I’ve built with my patients has been essential to maintaining long-term connections with them.
