Community Highlights: Meet Jacky Macias of Aesthetic MdR / Jaques Skin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacky Macias.

Hi Jacky, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ll start by saying I have extremely sensitive skin! Jaques Skin is the product of a girl who could not seem to find a skincare line that was both effective and gentle enough to offer the results she was looking for. I’m Jaqueline Macias, the founder of Jaques Skin and Co-Founder of Aesthetic MdR Plastic Surgery + MedSpa.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say there were struggles but rather speedbumps along the way. Being an entrepreneur is hard work; then you throw in female Latina, and it doesn’t become any easier. There is a quote I once read that spoke to me. It read, “You will never always be motivated, so you must learn to be disciplined.” This has been a phrase I say to myself when encountering a “speed bump” on the road.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Aesthetic MdR / Jaques Skin?
Aesthetic MdR Plastic Surgery+MedSpa was founded by my husband, Dr. Luis Macias, and myself in 2016. When we opened our office, I knew we needed to carry a quality skincare that was gentle yet effective, that is how Jaques Skin came about!

Jaques Skin is much more than just a quintessential luxury skincare line. We have collaborated with our Certified Aestheticians to offer custom facials and Chemical peels that have been formulated to offer the TRUE Jaques Skin Glow!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I grew up with two older sisters, and every summer was our opportunity to throw on our “Girl boss” hats. Our Lemonade stand was one of the most elaborate stands I had ever seen! We would break up our work between the three of us, all understanding what our strengths were. We were so young, yet we had evolved from just sisters to business partners! I look forward to the day my kids set up their first lemonade stand!
