Check Out Enos Liang’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Enos Liang.

Enos Liang

Hi Enos, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
During my time in high school, I was a science student with a keen interest in precision machinery industrial products and a passion for playing video games. Originally, I had planned to study product design in college. However, after immersing myself in this field, I first started learning basic hand drawing. I soon realized that product design primarily focused on appearance, and I found it too restrictive. After all, it was just drawing, and I felt that the freedom of unleashing my creativity with paper and pen was much more appealing. As a result, I decided to pursue illustration, which allowed me to align my interests with the world of video games and delve deep into the art of the entertainment industry. I have been devoted to the study of illustration ever since, up to this very day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I sometimes find myself struggling with the lack of proficiency in techniques and the scarcity of creative ideas to explore. As I delved deeper into my studies, I discovered that illustration and entertainment design are distinct fields, and I felt compelled to choose one path to specialize in. Making this decision has been challenging, but considering my long-standing dedication to painting and only a brief exposure to entertainment design, I have decided to continue delving deeper into the field of painting and leave the pursuit of design for another time.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My main work is creating illustrations for the entertainment industry. This is because I have a personal interest in games. However, the foundation I have built through years of studying art allows me to create artworks across various themes and subjects. Most of my works are in the form of paintings, and it is also where my greatest expertise lies.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me the most is my personal expression. As an artist, I need to put in effort to learn the foundational techniques and dive deep into various fields to acquire relevant knowledge. Only then can I make my artwork more vivid and engaging and effectively convey my ideas through my creations.
