

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle and Gabriela Gonzalez. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Established in 2013, Gaby’s Balloons is a home-based family balloon decorating company dedicated to brightening up your events. From birthdays to corporate events Gaby’s Balloons makes sure to give you the best service possible. Currently, we service the Inland Empire, Los Angeles County, Orange County and will travel for larger events. Gaby’s Balloons consists of certified balloon artists who work with clients or event planners to make your decor visions come to reality. We specialize in organic balloon installations, balloon columns, balloon bouquets, balloon walls, and so much more. We also have a variety of backdrops and props you can choose to rent from.
Gabriela (mom) and Gabs (daughter) have been learning balloons for 15 years and started this balloon business from scratch; with a lot of trial and error, they have been able to build their business and in 2014, they began to teach classes for others who want to start their own balloon business which have now reached over 2,500 students taught. Our goal is for you to learn and be successful in your own balloon business. We currently offer limited-capacity hands-on balloon classes and online recorded classes as well.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road for us. As immigrants starting a business from scratch, we knew from the beginning that we would face numerous challenges and obstacles along the way. Building a business requires a deep understanding of the industry and the willingness to put in hard work and take risks. Starting a business from scratch meant that we had to go through a lot of trial and error. We made mistakes and encountered setbacks, but we learned from them and used those experiences to improve and grow. It took time to build a reliable customer base and establish a reputation in the industry. Financial challenges were also present. As new entrepreneurs, securing funding and managing cash flow were constant concerns. We had to be resourceful and creative in finding solutions to keep the business afloat during tough times. Despite the difficulties, we remained determined and resilient. We invested in our own education to enhance our business skills. We embraced the mindset that failures are stepping stones to success, and each setback provided an opportunity for growth.
Over time, our efforts started to pay off. We gained valuable experience, honed our business strategies, and built a strong foundation for our company. While challenges still arise, we are now better equipped to overcome them and continue our journey toward success.

The most important lesson we’ve learned along our journey in the balloon business is the significance of adaptability and continuous learning. Early on, we realized that simply relying on traditional balloon arrangements wouldn’t be enough to set us apart and thrive in a competitive market. We embraced the importance of staying up-to-date with emerging trends and techniques in balloon artistry. This meant attending workshops, industry conferences and collaborating with other professionals in the field to expand our knowledge and skill set.
