Hi Vito, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Many people are looking for their 15 minutes of fame. I was grateful to get 5 minutes of fame and turned that into a 7 figure life.
Originally from Chicago, I was a college dropout who used my ability to sell over the phone and do basic math to get a decent job in finance. Always being a creative, I had no passion for it, and through a couple of breaks, found that my skills translated well into the advertising world. Advertising had mostly moved online, so I built a big online advertising network, but that also never satisfied my need to be creative. I wanted to be on TV and in movies, so I worked my way to Hollywood.
Using my knowledge of online advertising as my foundation, I was able to leverage that by helping celebrities and producers leverage new media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, the popular social media websites back then. It didn’t take long before I got myself onto TV and started doing reality television. I made a lot of connections in the media world by being in front of the cameras and behind the scenes, which set me up for my next chapter of life.
Taking the connections I had in the press and media, I launched what is now Glazers Media in West Hollywood, California. Glazers Media is one of the top online reputation management companies in the world but also has became a go-between for creators, influencers, brands and producers to create, own and distribute original content. Glazers Media makes famous people rich and rich people famous.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My advertising network completely disrupted the way online advertising was being done. Years later, Glazers Media completely disrupted the status quo of the public relations industry. Quickly I learned that when you are a disruptor, you will not be celebrated by those you are disrupting.
Being constantly attacked by competitors and people who are not tolerant of my views, I have had to fight false accusations and defend myself against invisible enemies on the internet for years. I only use this to make myself stronger and have leveraged the skills I have learned to build and defend my reputation to help make Glazers Media one of the top online reputation management and media crisis firms in the world.
