Daily Inspiration: Meet Julian $tyles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julian $tyles.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
So originally I moved to LA from South Carolina. I started making music with a collective 187blvd in South Carolina where we organized our own shows/events, performed music and did photography. It was great in SC but realized needed to expand if we really wanted to get out there with the music. Everyone usually moves to ATL Charlotte, decided to take a chance on the West Coast booked a flight to LA felt like every since I got here people were really showing love to the creativity; learned how to design clothing. Now I have my own brand Bladeworkz & upcoming EP Cerberus dropping this Friday, March 24th on all platforms and I’m only getting started.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been the easiest to adjust but I had no choice but to learn how to hustle harder and really believe in myself. When I first moved here, I didn’t really have anyone out here I could reach out to, so me being so far away and not being able to call anyone for help pushed me to bet on myself; it put a lot in perspective friends/relationships but I’m thankful for the experience n helping me grow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So I’m a Music Recording Artist. I go by Julian $tyles. I’m on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, etc. I started out Freestyling on the Microphone & on songs which helped me learn how to write songs/better verses. I specialize in Bars and Flow Try to Switch the Flow of every song. I’m mostly proud of never giving up n making it this far n going even farther this is just the beginning. What sets me apart from others work ethic. I’m never not working on something always working on music; even if I don’t record every day I write. I’m also a Clothing Designer & Photographer.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Never Give Up On Yourself. Never underestimate yourself or what you are capable of & if you love something you should do it, life is too short not to take risks or chances.
