Today we’d like to introduce you to Monique Lore` Stinson.
Hi Monique Lore`, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my career in television production, specifically reality television with the help of a friend, Sam Rhima in 2020. I worked around the clock recruiting people to be on dating shows for all the networks. I worked and found myself with 2 Emmy wins after producing a show called “Cristina’s Court”. I shifted in 2012 when I had a concept for a business called “The Wine Caterers” . It would be a custom wine-tasting experience. I was creative about how I sought capital for that endeavor as I was with my first documentary film, “The Pandemic Project Documentary”. What I have learned on my entrepreneurial journey is to identify what is needed in the market or niche area around your brand/business and do it with more passion and heart than anyone else. Create constant value and add more even when you are not asked, give more than expected and refer & connect people. Being clear about what your brand is and what it is not is important.
Also, doing one thing well and leveraging that to the next business or venture is important. Just turned 45 in January, I was just accepted into Pepperdine’s business MBA program to continue my education and become an even better business person. All of this was achieved without a husband, family support or any business loans. So my message to anyone and especially women is that you don’t need to lean on anyone else except your own ambition and network, your work vibe will most definitely attract your tribe.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been countless challenges and stop and starts from the very beginning. Having limited options as a young lady, I had to work harder and get more creative on how to move around those obstacles. Being resourceful, taking every meeting, and looking at each challenge as an opportunity can help along the way. Leveraging what you do well to create value for others can help you meet your goals as well.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m most proud of working to help create and support the Reality TV Genre and fostering people in telling their stories and getting justice through sharing their experiences and achievements and helping people get justice through telling their stories in my documentary film work.
What are your plans for the future?
Getting my MBA, finding the love of my life, having a family, and supporting other entrepreneurs in their success journey.
