Inspiring Conversations with Wendy Luttrell of C Suite Goals

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Luttrell.

Hi Wendy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started C Suite Goals because I am passionate about helping business leaders find personal and professional success and balance. I know how isolating and anxiety-ridden running a business can be. Trust me; I’ve been there. I worked my way up from receptionist to the C-suite and took BedHead Pajamas from $4M – $12M and sold it profitably. What was the secret to my success? Clear goals, a plan of action and, of course, a lot of hustle.

Now, as an executive coach and business consultant, I combine decades of experience and business acumen with practical tools and good old-fashioned accountability to help leaders like you stop fighting fires and take back the control of their time. Plus, through my Leaders Lifting Leaders and my Mastermindset groups, you not only have my unwavering support, you can also access a thriving community of like-minded leaders who offer comradery, guidance and help making better decisions.

In addition to my experience as a successful CEO and track record of helping leaders like you achieve professional and personal success, I am also a Predictive Index Certified Partner, designated fashion partner for CMTC, California’s manufacturing network and a guest professor at Sacramento State’s Carlson Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I am also a guest speaker for SCORE for the SBA.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I started my business as a Vistage Chair. I was trained by Vistage to build a Peer support group. I did this from scratch with no contacts in the business world. I came from fashion so I didn’t have a network of business owners to pull from. I put in the work, joined several networking groups, did a lot of outreach on Linked In and begged business owners I knew to let me coach them. I worked on this way until 2020 when my in-person group wasn’t relevant, so I folded it knowing I couldn’t give them the value on a zoom call. I then started Leaders Lifting Leaders to support all small business owners. We met weekly through the pandemic and we were a huge support to each other. I learned what business owners need, what they are worried about and how to help them. I continue this monthly now. Some would say I failed as a Vistage Chair, I felt like it was the best training and pushed me to think outside the box about my company and how I could serve my leaders.

We’ve been impressed with C Suite Goals, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started C Suite Goals to help small and medium businesses grow through strategy, goal making and leadership growth. I was a CEO for many years and could only help one business at a time, I wanted to be able to help many. I love seeing entrepreneurs learn how to guide their companies to success. The hardest part of running a company is the isolation and not knowing what you don’t know. I guide my clients through all aspects of their business from team building to strategy to systems.

I have partnered with the CMTC a nonprofit that provides grants to help businesses that manufacture products in California grow. I gave out 25 grants last year to small businesses so that they could work with me gratis. This helps companies that normally wouldn’t be able to get help grow.

I have an amazing group of leaders in my Mastermindset group. This group meets monthly to help each other grow, feel less alone, and make better decisions. I have also added leadership growth workshops to work with teams on Management growth, Sales, Emotional Intelegence, and. Leadership growth.

April will be our first retreat at Taranea Resort it is an Alignment and Abundance Retreat and will focus on Leadership alignment and pushing our businesses forward for the new year. What sets me apart is I listen and help you find your path. Small businesses should be a vehicle to getting us the life we want, I help you drive that car there.

How do you think about happiness?
I love bringing people together. My Mom used to call me the ultimate people connector. It brings me joy watching people help each other grow and flourish.
