Meet Edward Ornelas Jr. of Inland Empire Regional Chamber of Commerce

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Ornelas Jr.

Edward, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Perseverance. Determination. Confidence. These are some of the qualities I displayed which played a role on where I am today.

I created my own platform and network of business professionals to expedite the advancement my mission of becoming who and where I am today.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road was not smooth. I had to do a lot of ‘show and prove’ in order to gain trust from the business community to get to where I am today. As we all know, reputation is everything. And my reputation is good. The main challenge was gaining trust from the prominent business organizations and executives.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Inland Empire Regional Chamber of Commerce – what should we know?
The Inland Empire Regional Chamber of Commerce (IERCC) was formed in 2014 to provide a platform for the larger corporate entities in our region.

We primarily focus on and cater to businesses in need of a regional marketing and advertising. The IERCC is to a “region” what local city chambers are to their designated “city”. Local city chambers focus on the business community within their city. The IERCC focuses on business throughout the entire Inland Empire region, which consists of San Bernardino County and Riverside County.

We are most proud of connecting business and driving the economic engine forward in our region. Many organizations do a great job at supporting businesses in the Inland Empire region. We are happy to be one of those organizations contributing to driving this region forward.

The IERCC is a 501c (3) & 501c (6) non profit organization.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Visionary. If you can’t envision the future, how can you lead an organization? Leaders have to be visionaries. Leaders must be able to have a mental blueprint in their head for every goal they aim to achieve.

Visionaries are able to execute in a snap of a finger because the blueprint is already laid out mentally. I am a visionary who executes. This is very important to my success.
