Exploring Life & Business with Jessica Zenteno of Elevated Goddess Co & New Age Holistic Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Zenteno.

Hi Jessica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started in 2019 when I decided to leave the nursing filed to pursue my ambitions and dreams as an entrepreneur. It was a rocky start at first as I had many doubts and fears of the unknown but above all I believed in my wildest ideas and dreams that I wanted to fulfill . I remember working what was my last 12-hour graveyard shift and saying to myself, “I can invest in my dreams just as much as I have invested in others for all of the 8 years while working as a nurse.” I had a new mission, a new dream in mind.

Little did I know that would be the catalyst to fuel my entrepreneurial journey and vision forever. I slowly began with establishing a brand for my products and then the services I knew I wanted to offer. For the months after I resigned from my job, I built my network and grew my brand through various local pop-up events in my city of riverside. This allowed me to gain some more experience in educating people about Reiki, Crystal healing and all the alternative modalities that I knew of, practiced and believed in.

It was then in late October of 2019, I opened up my very first storefront in San Bernardino CA, thus New Age Holistic Wellness and Elevated Goddess Co were born. I knew I wanted to separate my brand for products from my practice of Holistic wellness and energy healing, hence the two different names.

Since I could remember I’ve always had a very conscious, intuitive and spiritual spirit. There’s no surprise I entered the field of holistic medicine since it is centered around root healing and incorporating alternative remedies versus using pharmaceuticals and standard allopathic traditional care.

When I opened my small location, I knew I wanted to center it around the Mind, Body and Spirit. I wanted to create a safe space for others to let go, to relax and to fully trust in their bodies ability to heal and thrive.

I had the privilege of working, coaching, and helping others heal there for two years unitl my lease ended in early 2021. It worked out because shortly after I no longer had my space, I decided to expand my family and pivot my business for new ways of not only making passive income but new ways to connect with my previous clients, gain new ones and build towards working on opening another physical location.

Currently, I am still seeing clients for 1:1 for Reiki Intuitive energy healing, wellness consults and mindset coaching. I work from home and offer mobile services as well. Last year I decided to go back to school to finish obtaining my degree in business entrepreneurship. I still also work a few pop-up shops here and there where I offer my well-known reiki energetic resets and intuitive readings.

This year, I plan to keep working diligently in my efforts to better understand business finance, logistics and marketing to help my business grow.

Along with that, I plan on opening a new storefront location by the end of 2023 if all goes well with my current plans and goals.

Nothing makes me more fired up and inspired more than my clients who are ready for radical change and the ones who seek to better understand the fundamentals of alternative holistic healing especially Reiki.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was never a smooth road but I wouldn’t have changed or rushed the process not one bit. I can’t sit here and say everything was easy to do because it truly wasn’t. I remember when I was contemplating on using my last $1,000 I had to my name just to begin the process to open up a storefront. To be completely honest, at first I encountered a lot of trials and errors, but I persevered through every hurdle whether it being financial, personal or with business partners. As a baby entrepreneur, I learned that boundaries, discipline and a strong discernment were important for me to continue to grow. The hardest part of all was to not allow myself to self-sabotage my dreams or visions.

We’ve been impressed with Elevated Goddess Co & New Age Holistic Wellness LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Both of my businesses were established as LLC’s so that I know not only am I protected but I have full ownership and rights of them both.

Elevated Goddess Co. was established as the brand for my products that include:
Nontoxic candles, Organic Skincare and ethically sourced crystals.

New Age Holistic Wellness was established for my clients and hands on services provided which include, 1:1 Reiki energy healing, Energetic cleanses, somatic massages, mindset as well as nutritional guidance and coaching.

Through all my years as a holistic nurse, I was able to incorporate all that I’ve learned and recommend what I know and what works to help my clients live their most balanced and authentic lives.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
what matters most to me is my children, my husband, my health and the well-being of others. There’s no doubt that my kids aren’t my number one source of fuel to keep pursuing my dreams and helping others. I aspire to make change within my community on a deeper level and to inspire my children who are 5, 1 and 3 months to never settle for less, that you can truly be anything you want to be and to chase your wildest dreams. As far as for my community I hope to work with other local practitioners in the realm of what I do to see how I can host my first healing reiki circle.
