Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Walker. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Xavier Walker hails from the beautiful country of Jamaica as a normal country boy. He was then introduced to the fashion industry by his high school English teacher Miss Minott. Who informs him that’s nothing tried nothing done.
Xavier then started off freelance Modeling in Kingston, Jamaica. Where he quickly developed and build a network for himself in the Jamaican fashion market but was still unable to spread his wings.
He then made his way into the US, where he started Modeling as a freelancer. Before he got discovered by EMG Models. Xavier was then blessed to work with some of the most incredible brands in the fashion industry such as Michael Kors, Adidas, Nike, Underarmor and Puma just the name a few.
He has also been featured in top magazines, such as Paper Magazine, Vogue Italia, Vogue Mexico, Harpers Bizarre, Elle Magazine, and the list goes on.
As he continues to grow and build in the fashion industry, Xavier advise people to not give up on their dreams are passion. Because you never know where you may end up.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a struggle to get to where I’m at so far in my career and to be honest. I’m not where I want to be just yet. But with the motivation of friends and fins. I keep pushing. So I can be an inspiration to someone else.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What I’m most proud of is, I’m not just a model at this point. I was blessed to start my journey as on Creative Director, Casting Director and now a Model Agent with the agency that started it all EMG Models.
Any big plans?
Tomorrow is promised to no man. But if the most high grunts it. I would love to start my own Modeling Agency one day and keep helping others.
