Today we’d like to introduce you to IamLyriq (I am Lye-Reek).

Hi IamLyriq, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been in the music industry for over 20 years. I am a singer/songwriter/producer who has millions of records associated with my name. I wrote the song “Melody” for Ray J and have also worked with Brandy, Whitney Houston, and Countless other Big names in the music industry. I play over 6sixinstruments, specialize in vocal production and have been responsible more many different artists being signed to major labels up and to including Jay Z(Via Teirra Mari)

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being successful in the entertainment industry is a long road with many peaks and valleys. So of course, it hasn’t been a smooth road. And pretty much anyone who says that it has always been a smooth road for them…they are lying to you.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well, I am a Producer/Songwriter/Recording Artist/ Musician and Vocal Coach. I am a hitmaker, I am an artist developer and specialize in pulling the best vocal qualities out of anyone who can sing. I am known for writing and producing and even singing hooks on songs for some very big names in the music industry. I am a multiple x’s Gold and soon to be Platinum level producer and songwriter. Although my legacy is still being written but I am known for my career starting with Ray J, Playing the pianos on Tee Grizzley’s Gold Record achieving single “Satish”, And engineering sessions with artists ranging from Whitney Houston, Mya, Beanie Siegel, Kash Doll, Vezzo, Kash Doll and tons of other big names and thousands of other unsigned and up and coming artists.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
There is a lot more music, television and film in my future. Outside of music, I am a Writer and Director of an Up and coming TV Series called “Caesar & Ronin” along with starring in an up-and-coming reality show that I can’t say the name of contractually until the Network starts running promo. But the year 2023 and beyond is going to be electric!!!
