Hidden Gems: Meet Nicole Richardson of NRich Digital

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Richardson.

Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
One year before starting my business I was a busy mama working 9-5 and making just enough to pay the bills.

After work, I’d make it just in time, in the midst of rush hour traffic, to pick up my son from the school’s aftercare program barely beating the clock to avoid late pickup charges.

I’d rush home to cook dinner, help with homework, then get ready for bed only to do it all over for the rest of the week.

It was exhausting!

Not to mention, at this point in my life, I was also expecting my second son.

I remember thinking about how there was no way I could continue this hamster wheel day after day as a soon-to-be mama of two.

Without a doubt, things HAD to be different this second time around.

I wanted to be there day and night throughout all of my newborn’s “firsts” without leaving him at daycare for 10 hours every day.

I wanted to drop off and pick up my oldest son with ease from the car rider’s line without rushing.

And I wanted to be in control of my own damn money!

So, I made the decision to do the one thing that made the most sense to me at the time.

I took a bold move and emailed my boss explaining that I would not return to work from my maternity leave.

I knew that my children needed me more than the papers I left on my desk before my departure.

In that moment, I needed to take a chance to do what I felt was best for me and my boys.

It was from this decision that I found a digital world that I had no idea existed but immediately loved.

I went back to my roots and remembered at age 5 how I helped my father build computers. I thought about how techie I had been all throughout my school years, and how much I really enjoyed learning new things.

I then took on the vast world of Google and began learning about website building, marketing, and the online business industry.

This led to me creating an online business helping women launch their online businesses, programs, and digital courses to help them also create more freedom and flexibility in their lives.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Navigating entrepreneurship can be very challenging, and adding motherhood into the mix makes being a mompreneur an interesting journey.

Initially, when I started my journey, I wanted more time to dedicate myself to my children, but there were many late nights and early mornings. I wore all the hats – sales, marketing, accounting, and implementing.

It was tough, but I was determined to make it work.

Even now, because we’re still a small team, we run into a lot of these challenges, but I believe it’s all part of the journey and growth process.

We’ve been impressed with NRich Digital, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My mission is to help more moms pursue their passion and create profitable online businesses that give them the freedom and flexibility to be stay-at-home CEOs.

We specialize in helping them prioritize their goals, increase their brand awareness, and create predictable revenue streams in their business with a clear marketing strategy.

What sets us apart is that we are a team of moms who “get it” and I’m most proud of that. We’ve been in their shoes and understand how much their time means to them. We share the same outlook on possibilities when you bet on yourself and we’re aware of the status quo that stays the same when you choose not to.

We operate within a crawl, walk, run business model and can support you exactly where you are with your business. Whether you’re just getting started, ready to scale, or somewhere in between. We’ll help to extract your big vision into a doable marketing plan.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
The textbook definition of, success is defined as reaching a goal or accomplishing something you’ve set out to achieve. For me, success is about using my God-given gifts, talents, and experience to help others.

As a mother, it’s encouraging my children and watching them flourish. In my business, it’s about helping my clients reach their big vision goals. There is no greater success to me than helping to elevate others because in turn, their success becomes my success.
