Meet Stanley Lin of Net Profits in San Gabriel Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stanley Lin.

Stanley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It wasn’t exactly like Bill or Steve, but it was in my own dingy room the summer after graduating from UC Irvine in 2000, that I launched my first web project – a coupon deal site, where I would be paid % commission for each sale I generated for the publisher (Brand) through their web store. Flipped it for $20k 6 months later and learned real early on that “www” really stands for the “wild wild west”. From that moment onward, it was simply one web project after another.

I dabbled in everything I could. My thirst to succeed was only driven by my hunger for more knowledge. Thus, began my journey to develop my own network of online real estate – some of which includes:

– paid membership sites
– affiliate programs
– affiliate promotions
– private blog networks
– ecommerce sites
– news and entertainment sites
– hundreds of joint ventures with other bright minds of the interwebs
– an online consultancy agency “Net Profits” – Offering a full suite of online web creation and marketing services
+ web design / redesign
+ custom tailored SEO action plan
+ PPC / local SEO / International SEO

I suppose the journey hasn’t ended yet. But that in itself is what’s truly rewarding…

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There were many bumps in the road. There were times where nothing I’ve done worked. Spending countless sleepless nights trying to figure out the correct formula. But through perseverance and discipline I knew that eventually, things would be the way I want it. So far, I’m happy with where I’m at. Both professionally and personally… I have 2 beautiful young boys and a loving wife who glues everything together for me.

One thing I do think back on often are all the inspirational quotes from successful people. It reminds me that in order to succeed, one must fail, for how else can you improve your own trade and make yourself better and find your true calling in life? 9 out of 10 projects will fail, all you need is that 1 to hit it out of the ball park.
