Hi Rich AKA The Trap Designer, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I got started in fashion over ten years ago, inspired by seeing my grandparents sew and crochet things all the time. The first love I made was to start selling caps in middle/high school and then I started sewing myself!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course not, I feel like we all have our bumps and hiccups following our dream but it was lessons and things that I needed to learn. When my grandparents passed away it was kind of a struggle for me to focus and continue, but then it somehow turned to inspiration for me to go even harder.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I sew unique custom handmade pieces, I specializing in making people turn their heads with vibrant colors and patterns they’ve never seen before. I am most proud of doing something that I’m really passionate in for my career field and what sets me apart from others is a number of things. Quality, style, edginess, placements, clients, and confidence.
How do you define success?
I define success as financial freedom.
