Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Bringing to life many stunning & unique designs by Patrick Bengal luxury homes I started as a fashion Designer for 12 years then turned in 2006 into Real Estate as an Agent & after two years got my Real Estate Broker License, Educated & Specialized in Selling NEW Construction Luxury Homes & Estates, Represented Many Unique Top luxury homes Builders. Throughout my career, I got to listen & learn much from my sellers and buyers of what they want to have in a High-End Luxury Home. Now Designing my own Luxury Homes Line, I believe that the right designs/ideas/time and money investment always bring a different experience to my New luxury homes. A true luxury real estate experience that differentiates itself from any other homes around. “Build & Design it Right or Don’t!” – is my ultimate motto.
I have a business that is a “built and learn” how to build luxury homes. I teach people that want to start investing/building homes and luxury estates and don’t know where and how to start, how to do it and all the processes needed for successful results.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was a smooth road when I got into real estate; it was right before the 2008 crash and everyone went to look for a 9 to 5 job. I went straight in and continued in real estate and was selling New Homes when the banks took money from the government; fast forward a few years after I was probably their broker with the most new construction listings at the time later on, I partner up with one of the top guys that were building houses. It was a great experience and a great learning curve for me how to do things from there we parked our ways, and I took off with my own inspirations and designs into my luxury designs.
One of the things that I hear a lot from friends that are spec builders is that I am doing too much and overdoing for a spec home and my answer is always the same. Which is “I don’t know anything else; it’s either you do it right or you don’t”.
My last project my client gave me full control of everything that needs to be done in the house from designs to materials to colors plumbing fixtures etc. everything her exact words were here’s the money. I trust you to do everything for me; this is probably the highlight of my career when someone gives you the money and tells you gotta do what you think is best.
I am honored and grateful and humbled to be in that position in life and in my career.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My luxury homes development business buying and selling luxury homes has been my main focus, and out of that many customers that bought houses from me refer their friends to upgrade their existing homes that they love but are outdated and don’t have the high-end qualities of today’s updated new kitchens bathrooms designs and spaces of today’s hot trends.
I always like to think outside the box and create new ideas and a mixture of styles into a home, I believe that I was the first person to put a sliding door that opens fully from the family room to the backyard like in modern homes which I have done in my personal residence in Studio City that I build for myself, and liked the concept of that indoor outdoor opening lifestyle in a traditional home style, which was never done before, after that me, and my partner at the time incorporated that concept into our spec homes, and from there, everyone started doing it.
What should we know?
I take a very unique and personal approach with my customers. I believe in asking a lot of questions in depth to really understand what they want, what they need and what styles colors and flow they would like to have.
Together we work out the best visions into product designs, into production, using quality materials to create the out most perfection so they will be at “awe” every time they look at that creation and enjoy it daily.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Being honest, listening to my client’s needs because it’s their needs and not mine, being intentional and focused in what needs to be done. Making a decision and immediately executing and getting fast results.
