Today we’d like to introduce you to E Burns.

Hi E, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi, my name is Eric Burns or “E- Burns I’m a celebrity stylist/image consultant and creative director, I also own my own showroom and style house Qloak LA, I’m An L.A. native and continue to solidify my name as a creative and innovative artist, brand ambassador and businessman in the fashion industry. Seamlessly transforming clients one image at a time, and developing their style into a brand with a unique twist to fit to each personality.

I started out as a designer and started styling back in 2006 along the becoming a brand ambassador for Reebok, style curator for fashion Bomb daily and opening my own showroom/ style house. It’s been a long journey with ups and downs. But taking a leap of faith, hard work, dedication and consistency got me to where I am now.

Specializing in editorial, commercial, red carpet, day to day advertising, music videos, interviews and look-book styling, in addition to image consulting and creative direction for both Men and Women.

Some of my clients over the years includes a variety of talent including: Christina Milian, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, French Montana, Reebok, Draya Michel’le, Erica Mena, Cassie, Jessica Rich, Wale, Blac Chyna, Kmichelle, Parker Mckenna, Def Jam, Complex Mag, Fashion Bomb Daily, Saks Fifth Ave, Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, BET, VH1, E!, and Bravo just to name a few.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely hasn’t been an easy road, some struggles come with your family not understanding what you do. Industry politics, Quitting your day job, taking a leap a faith to do what you love. Figuring out ways to make this a lucrative occupation when your clients are t working you’re not working. So you have to find out creative ways in which what you love to do that you can create other income.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m proud that I get to wake up and do what I love each day. I also proud that my parents now understand what I do and are proud of my accomplishments.

What set me apart from others is my consistency hard work and eye for bringing out the best in my clients.

How do you define success?
Success to me is waking up every day doing what I love with the ability to take care of myself and family while doing so.

Success is being a kid from south central/ Inglewood who broke into this industry with no handouts, just hard work dedication and skill to make people look good.
