Meet Karthik Ambakad of Kreative Tek Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karthik Ambakad.

Karthik, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always found technology fascinating, when I was younger I always sat around watching my dad take apart different things fixing them and putting them back together.

It has always amazed me how fast technology is evolving. Think about it, from 1950 to 2000 the biggest invention was the theoretical dual core computer. From 2000 to 2017 we already have an octa-core computer on a mobile device half the size of a regular laptop or desktop. As you can see I have always been amazed by what we can do with technology and I believe that is how I ended up gaining interest in this field.

I feel the ability to learn more about technology is only going to make everyone more intellectual and better as a person. The path to where I am today was not easy by any means it was one of the hardest tasks I have ever had to do but in that same respect, it is definitely worth it. Am I where I want to be? By no means have I reached where I want to be. I am very ambitious or so I have been told and that might be part of the reason I want to reach much higher heights. I want people to look at my life and say “Wow!! I can’t believe he has accomplished all that in his lifetime…. I want him to be my kid’s role model.” Life is so short why waste it, live each and every day to the fullest and you can look back and realize you didn’t waste it and you actually lived it…

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I really do not think anyone has a smooth road, I believe everything that has been achieved is by earning it. The road has not been smooth there were several different struggles along the way and I am sure more is yet to come. A few struggles I personally faced is lack of support, knowledge, and capital. Though most people knew I was competent and I knew what I was doing most people did not think I would be able to achieve what I have achieved… Even till this day, I get a few people who are amazed at what I have accomplished at my age. I have had several employers tell me to stop what I was doing and focus on one thing… To put it in the words of those employers “Karthik, you should stop being a jack of all trades, and a master of none. And start focusing on being a master of one trade.” I personally did not like that comment mainly because it’s not in what you are the master at it’s in the ability and willingness to learn. It is like a quote by Alvin Toffler “The literacy of the future will not be the ability to read and write but rather the ability to learn, unlearn and relearn.” In our modern day, this is the truest quote I have ever seen or heard. When it came to businesses two things I lacked significantly was knowledge and capital. I mean I was a student and working at the same time and had no knowledge in the business world. However, what I did have was the ambition in what I do and how I could help other companies both small and big alike with my skill set. So I set out with a gamble and created my company and started establishing a reputation and loyal clientele.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My company is called Kreative Tek Solutions, and at this current moment, we specialize in software, hardware, networking services throughout California. We primarily focus on software unless hardware and networking are needed for a project we take on. We are primarily known for custom software development which includes websites, custom scripting, database management, mobile development, and a few more…

Not only do we do custom development but we do not outsource our work meaning all of our work is done remotely by other team members throughout the United States. This means we are able to fix problems in the current time zone rather than outsourcing to other countries where a number of issues could occur for example communication. We also do Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) when needed. I am proud that my company is able to deliver what we promise and we are able to hold up to the slogan we use “Where Concepts Become Reality”. What sets us aside from other companies is that we are able to negotiate be flexible and we are honest. Yes, money is an issue but for us, our clientele relationship is more important and we are able to emphasize that by being very flexible when it comes to price. Our goal as a company is to turn our clients into fortune 500 companies, and sometimes we have to be brutally honest to make sure this happens whether it be spending a little extra or spending what is being spent more wisely. We want our client’s business to increase as well as have them grow because when they grow we grow with them. To sum it all up, what makes us different is we care about our client and not just what we are getting paid… We are currently working on a new section on our website which contains a store for several different things. One of our major things about this store is our clients or random people can come in and create an account and purchase software for a lot cheaper than they normally retail for. For example, MS Office Home & Student 2016 which retails for 150 dollars will be available for $74.99. Of course, that is one of the examples there will be several more. Along with that, we will also be creating custom bundles that will overall be cheaper than getting every software separately. We are primarily creating this portion of the website for people who are tired of paying a monthly subscription for software and/or just want to buy the software legally at a much lower cost. We will also be adding a hosting and web services section that will be completely done toward the end of this year. This feature will be primarily targeting people with websites or wanting websites or any type of hosting or email for personal use.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next few years, I feel our industry is going to be taking a major shift toward technology if it hasn’t already. To explain, technology is getting more and more incorporated in everyday life and now with Cloud Automation and Home Automation, everything is being intertwined in the internet of things (IOT), Because of that software development and software and hardware-based systems are becoming more and more intricate, and that is where we step in with our background and what we have done and are doing we are qualified to take any new startup and turn their productivity and efficiency and increase it tenfold. A computer can process information in the millisecond range so the question is why waste your energy trying to compete with a computer when you can save that and use it for something else while telling the computer to do that same process with a click of a button? Though hardware and networking is a key component, the software is more focused because it is the brains and to put it frankly there are several other hardware and networking developers and not enough software developers/engineers.
