Daily Inspiration: Meet Fernanda Ferreira

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernanda Ferreira.

Hi Fernanda, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a native from Brazil who is passionate about the health and beauty industry with a belief that everyone deserves an outstanding spa services at affordable prices. I opened my first Escape Day Spa location in 2008 and my second one in 2021; it was in the middle of the pandemic which was very challenged but with all the odds of opening another location I overcame and I am blessed to be opening my third location in San Fernando Valley in middle of 2023.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As an immigrant and a woman I have faced a lot of challenges in my way such as the language barrier and been a woman, as well raising my two children without any family support here in the US is not easy but I always have a positive mindset and faith.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My name is Fernanda Ferreira, owner of Escape Day Spa in Los Angeles. I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 17 years. I started as a massage therapist and doing post-operation lymphatic drainage treatments. These led me on the path of skin care. Even after graduating Esthetician School, I continued to pursue new and advancing skin care techniques. At my spas, I’ve worked as head esthetician where I’ve taught my new hires different procedures hands-on. As a medical assistant, I keep learning the latest trends in skincare and sharing the knowledge with my clientele and students. My hope is that passing on my experience will make a difference in people’s lives.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Be humble and put love in whatever you do, stay focused on your goals, it’s very easy to get lost in the way, always double-check all your resources and continuing studying, never stop learning and have empathy for others.
