Daily Inspiration: Meet Jerry Rodriguez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerry Rodriguez.

Hi Jerry, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I graduated with an MBA at the California Intercontinental University of Irvine. Studied journalism in community college where I competed at the ACP/CMA Fall National College Media Convention. Taking home several first-place awards. I began to explore photography while in college where I started as a style editor for El Don magazine. Passionate about all aspects of design, love for photography and business led to the creation of Sauca Social. A full-service creative marketing agency. Photography and marketing have been a great passion of mine. I participated inside the fourth largest fashion show, Los Angeles Fashion Week, followed by L.A Swim Week, the Alangoo Fashion Weekend, Lumiere Fashion Week and the Art of Hearts Fashion Week. My love for photography opened a creative path towards more of what I love which is graphic design, web development, and social media management.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an independent photographer can be a rewarding and fulfilling career, but it is not always a smooth road. Some of the struggles that photographers may face include:

Competition: There is a lot of competition in the field of photography, and it can be difficult to stand out and attract clients.

Financial instability: As an independent photographer, you may not have a steady income and may have to constantly search for new clients and projects.

Marketing and networking: As an independent photographer, you may have to spend a lot of time marketing your services and networking to find new clients.

Despite these challenges, many photographers find great satisfaction in the creative and artistic aspects of their work and the ability to control their own careers. If you are considering becoming a photographer, it is important to be aware of these challenges and to be prepared to work hard and continuously develop your skills.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a photographer and work in marketing. I run my own business a marketing agency, “Sauca Social”. Sauca Social is a marketing agency that offers services to help businesses grow. From creative design, and content writing to photography, we are a full-service agency for all digital needs. I am known as a photographer and it is what drove me to offer services I was already doing for small businesses. I pride myself in my work and work very hard to deliver the best outcome. I believe that one thing that separates me from others is that I know a lot about design, not just photography. I know graphic design, web development, social media management, copywriting, ad creation and all aspects of creative design. I figured I would offer it as a service to others. Sauca Social has a very talented team, which includes my twin brother David Rodriguez the C.O.O of an online university.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the most important lessons in my journey has been accepting things as they are and allowing the natural flow of life to unfold. I have learned to surrender my thoughts of hope and allow everything to come to me on its own time. I am in no hurry, and I work with intention, always practicing gratitude.
