Meet Michael Preston of Pink Shark Marketing in Century City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Preston.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Michael. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I began my involvement in marketing working with a friend’s barbershop in my hometown of Toledo, Ohio while attending undergraduate. While working with mainly digital marketing aspects, I soon recognized a great passion for it. Upon graduation from the University of Toledo, I moved to Los Angeles and landed an internship with a media company dealing with mainly social media. An opportunity was then presented to work with a company specializing in Search Engine Optimization. It was there that I realized I wanted to get involved deeper in all aspects of the digital space helping businesses to achieve a successful online presence. This is where Pink Shark was born.

Like any business, I started small. However, my small team and I persevered, and over time, our clientele grew along with our skills and knowledge. The Pink Shark team now has over 20 proud members both stateside, and around the world.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any business, it’s been full of many challenges. When you think you’re ahead, life humbles you. When you’re patient during difficult times, it is typically followed by great things.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Pink Shark Marketing Inc. – what should we know?
Our company works as an outsourced marketing team for different businesses. We are able to add on the team that they do not have in house. We specialize in digital marketing which includes: web design, web development, social media management, search engine marketing, photo/video, digital advertising, and influencer marketing. I am most proud of the integrity of our company. It’s our mission to help companies with the services they need, not services that we want to sell. We differentiate ourselves, by diving into the company with a seamless integration of our team. This includes us working on the business as if it were our own, and making suggestions on areas for opportunity.
